First of all, this place only opens for lunch during winter, so check it’s opening hours before going. The soup curry is okay, probably the best as others said, but i have not tasted many so I’ll reserve my comments on that. Very busy place...and we waited for half an hour, staff are friendly though. You can order your level of spicy-ness rating from 1-20. There will be additional charger based on the higher level of spicy-ness. I ordered level 11 and it was not that spicy. I would challenge level 20 if i go again haha.More

We've order meatball soup curry to go, actually called in and pick up as they do not deliver. The order was done quickly. This is not your usual thick curry but really like an aromatic soup curry, very flavorful. Although if you normally do not...like an herb aromatic type of soup, this may not be your kind of dish. The chicken meatball is very nice as well, an order cam with two large size meatballs. For the soup you can specified spiciness levels from 0-20, I've got #10, got good kick of spiciness, just right. The soup come with veggie and mushrooms along with the meatball. With a side of rice. You can also add topping but I've feel that the original order was plentiful. A great comfort food especially after a tiring day on the slope.More

Had a great meal with 9 people all sat along a counter in a booth which proved to be great fun. Quick service friendly staff. Great curried meatball soups. Lots of seemingly authentic food which we all loved. Would definitely come back. You can only...book the 6 & 630 sittings ... after that you wait in a queue for tables. Teenage kids enjoyed the experience.More

Have to reserve in advance! But super worth it it was such an amazing comfort food after a long day on the slopes. You can "design" your own curry with the level of spiciness and etc. Recommended to all my friends who visit Niseko!

Been here twice and it’s a great change to the rest of the food in the area. It’s not your regular curry. It’s really between a soup and a curry. Had the meatball soup and it was so tasty even at spiciness #2. Great quick...meal.More

This place was recommended by our local hotel host and i'm glad we went! It's a bit of walk from the Hirafu village and we had to wait a little while for a table, but it was well worth it. I had a chicken and...veggie soupy curry and it was delicious. If you're keen to try one of Hokkaido's local dishes this place is a winnerMore

You must order the chicken meatball soup! Absolutely fabulous, also the roast pork soup. You have a choice of heat, me being a sook I order a 2, hubby is happy with a 6. Ate here twice during our stay as it was so good....You can book for dinner which I recommend. A must if you are staying in Niseko.More

Walking from Upper / Missle Hirafu, this is a must-do for a lunch break off the mountains. Lots of choices but beware of the spice if you can’t handle (a cold draft Saporro helps).

A great eat for a very reasonable price. Only draw back may be the noise given the volume of tourists.

Came here for lunch bc all the options on the mountain were expensive and mediocre. Really great flavours. Husband had chicken with coconut soup and daughter had the meatballs in original soup. Chose 3 for spice but could have done 4-5 I think. Also served...with rice which you dunk in the soup. Yum.More

Tsubaratsubara is a soup curry restaurant and more! The soup curry is great with levels 1-20? Level 1-5 are free but levels 6 onwards you need to top up. I feel that level 5 still wasn't too spicy but I'm Asian so, caveat emptor! We...did not try higher than level 5 for fear of masking the richness of the taste. The meatball soup curry is better than the chicken soup curry. We only had the originals, meaning without the coconut milk. Which was great tasting already. The sesame chicken wings are scrumptious! I liked the salads too, the feature (for me) was the fresh , sweet onions that don't bite back! The dressing was healthy and had zing! Wash it all down with Asahi black! Although the grape and mango lassi were delicious too (grape being the preference)! Book if you can as there's always a long wait. Service was quick considering the full capacity and the wait staff spoke English! Great soul food for a snowy wintery night. Warms the tummy and spirit!More

First lunch of the trip and what a way to start. Basically one dish but so many ways to customise it. Favourite was chicken balls and coconut soup. Good for kids too with a kids dish for younger children and you can chose your ‘spice’...so if a hot dish doesn’t work - no worries. My wife went back on day two and likely last lunch for us too tomorrow!More
