Had a wonderful dinner here and was the pick of all the restaurants (and I went to them all). Food is good and great atmosphere. You need a booking here and if you plan on coming without then you are likely to miss out.

The food overall was good and didn’t disappoint- gyoza was recommended by another patron which we ordered and it was superb! We also ordered shabu - shabu kept it simple and traditional and everything was fresh from the veggies to meat including the sushi. Being...in Hokkaido we had to order the Clams - it was fresh but nothing to write home about! It was cooked on top of a fancy individual small stove which was nice for photos! Service wise - the waitress and waiter did their jobs but don’t expect service above and beyond as they are pretty busy! Do expect to flag them down for sure - we waited a good 10 mins before being waited upon after sitting down. One of the Host at the door has an I don’t give a “”…. Attitude. We walked in she was quick to tell us seats are full with no tables, when I wanted to ask another question she told me to stand in line. Luckily I saw someone put their name down on a paper so I asked to be put on waitlist as well - hesitantly she did and told us the wait can be 1 hour or 2. She also indicated we can only have 2 ppl wait inside and can’t order any drinks at bar. But I did see a table of 4 sit at the tall bar table waiting area and eventually she let our family sit there . Just have to obey the rules I guess lol ! Luckily we waited and got seated within 30 mins for a table of 7. We went during the peak hours around 630-7 pm so suggestion is to go early or after 8/830 pm but overheard it can be unpredictable which time is busy- so best check on their opening and closing hours and have some patience if you are going to walk in. We also overheard that the restaurant may be closing down permanently which is a shame! It is good quality food with good atmosphere - I will definitely go back in spite of the initial attitude by one of the hostess. If they stay open I will go back upon my next visit!More

THIS IS NOT JAPAN, knowing i leaving japan for 12years service - bad as well....we waited for 30min before having our first drink and foods came much later. food quality -- it wasnt so good. last time i been there, it was pretty good but not the quality is not so good. definitely not a good value.More

Many people think of A-Bu-Cha or Bang Bang when they come to Niseko as it serves grilled skewers. When we came, the atmospher was so crowded and service was overwhelmed. The skewers were cold and the prices of all items on the menu were overpriced.

Excellent Japanese dining experience and surprisingly not that expensive vs. other Hirafu area restaurants. It's Japanese cuisine/Hokkaido specialties, you cannot go wrong

Would definitely come back when the pandemic is over. Located on the main road leading to Grand Hirafu Ski Lift. Limited car park in front. Great food and great atmosphere.

Great food and location but service is not amazing. We were 7 minutes late and were told our paid booking were cancelled by the pretty waitress. After a few minutes wait we found there were lots of tables and were let in. Location is great...at Hirafu area, just picked up some rented gear from across the street. Food is great too but service is slow.More

This was probably one of our least favourite meals in Japan, and also one of the most expensive! We walked in and had to wait about 40 minutes, but the bar area is quite a nice place to eat so that was okay. We were...seated and no one came to take our order until we finally flagged someone down after 15 minutes (maybe this was us being too British and polite...!). We had a sukiyaki pot and a shabu shabu pot each serving 2. One was a vegetarian pot and was £20+ per person, and I think it could have easily been eaten by one person if they were hungry! The food was fine, and if we’d paid half the price we probably wouldn’t have minded, but for the price we weren’t that impressed. Service was also a bit lacking in general.More

This was pricey. It was good for basic pot but try the broth with added items instead of the standard pot. Extra crab was really good and the sesame was good.

Local and wood-themed Japanese restaurant with a good variety of food. Very busy restaurant, so advance booking recommended through their website. Saw many walk-ins were regretfully turned away. The sashimi and seafood were fresh and delicious. The serve staff spoke English, friendly and helpful -...she recommended half serving of salad for half the price for solo diner which was not indicated in the menu. They did; however, add 10% for service charge on top of the food.More

The beef hot pot is worth the wait, unfortunately it is difficult to get a booking here but the do take walk ins nightly but generally involves waiting. The hot pot is worth it though!

Worth going to. A good menu to select from, and everything we had was quite tasty. The daikon and shiso salad was REALLY good. Nice atmosphere and staff. A bit pricey, but it was peak ski season.

So great!! Perfect ski break & lunch spot. We ordered the beef hot pot for 2, and asked for extra noodles. So delicious & filling for 2 people. Seriously, insanely good!
