This is a very small cozy restaurant, so to avoid disappointment make a booking, we were very luck that the first time we went the could fit us at the bar. We ordered a few dishes to share, it was all really good and we...got to speak to the staff as they were getting drinks. I have read some people saying about the wait for food, we were there probably about 1.5 hours for a meal, for us it was good as we had a small break between dishes, rather then everything coming at once or one after the other. I would highly recommend this for good Japanese food, and definitely try the Ramen.More

They open at 6pm and people are already waiting outside. If you are alone, you can sit at the bar, viewing the grill master operating. The menu is very diverse. You find also a long drinking list. The service was friendly and within time. The prices...are reasonable. I felt happy after my dinner.More

We walked in by chance and were lucky there was table available after just a short waiting (seems most guests come early as there were empty tables after 2030). The place isn't big and not everyone has a great command of English, but as the...menu has photos there is little risk of getting lost in translation. The food is typical Hokkaido with great meat and seafood at for Niseko reasonable prices. We enjoyed the sashimi, the snow crab and a couple of meat dishes so much we decided to return a few nights later. Again without booking.More

A few years ago, it was hard to get into this place. The lines in front of the door were long and people would accept the long wait in the cold. This has changed when we came in 2019. We immediately got in and seated...at a table (which has never happened in the past, we always had to accept a seat at the bar only), and we also figured out why. The portions seem to have gotten smaller than they were before, while the prices have stayed the same or increased. The quality of the food struggles to keep up with other izakayas in Hirafu - check out lower or east village. The service has also deteriorated. They forgot to bring a few items we ordered. Still, one of our all-time favorites in this place is the sukiyaki, which is tasty, good quality and can be ordered as a small portion so other dishes can be still enjoyed with it. So we are likely to return to this place just for that.More

Bit overpriced and small portions. Acceptable quality but nothing to write home about. Suffers from being in the upper village - better izakaya options available a short walk down the hill.

The pictures on the menu are lying : the size of every piece of food is reduced to a minimum (slice of sashimi for ex, or the quantity of enamamets, a basic food in Japan, is ridiculous, even the "large" bowl of rice is too...small !!!). In addition to that the price of food is quite expensive and it is not even justified by the quality ! So we left the place still beeing hungry ! Maybe it is better to go there only for a drink...More

A great, authentic Izakaya. Very friendly and with great food served quickly. Dinner for 2 hungry men including beers was 6000-7000 yen

Was there for 2 times during the ski trip. Try the baked half chicken, fried squids and the wasabi octopus! They were amazing! Prices are cheaper than the shops along the Main Street!

We arrived around 7:30 which was good timing as it was full but there were a couple of seats at the 'bar'. This turned out to be an excellent place to be seated as you could watch the kitchen prep which was impressive. The food...came out quickly and was well priced. In our opinion the TA ratings are a little over rated as it was good but not amazing.More

This was our second visit here( first 3 years ago). It is difficult to get a place, and no bookings so you need to line up before opens usually to secure a seat. We turned up at 5.50 (opens at 6 pm) and got a...seat easily. The food is typical Japanese izakaya food and is pretty good. The only thing I didn't like was the eggplant dish, but that is probably just because the flavours were too foreign for me. Overall a good meal and we would return.More
