Decent Sukiyaki which was great for a cold day. But the food was average as we ordered the set packages of meat and vegetables

I have been to this restaurant three times over the last three years. Service and food quality continue to get worse and worse. Decided to give it another chance this year and I have confirmed that it’s gotten even worse. This restaurant used to be...packed but it was only half full so that says a lot. There’s basically no service at all as they only have three staff. With the price you pay there should be service. They shoved all out food on our table not caring if they were in our way. They charged us deposit for the booking but the deposit was not deducted from our bill. They told us that they will refund the deposit momentarily! Such nonsense - never heard of anything like that. I think that’s why no one goes there anymore and that it was only half full. I would not recommend anyone to go there. I will start looking for another place in my next visit to Niseko.More

One of our best sukiyaki experience so far. The Hokkaido beef was out of the world. Service was also nice. Perfect in every way.

Spicy tomato soup works for me, extremely delicious pairing with sukiyaki broth. Pricey but mediocre beef.

if you like Beef Sukiyaki/Shabu Shabu, then this is the place in Niseko. They provide transport from hotel to restaurant as they are a little further down Seico Mart.. but walkable back to middle hirafu after a hearty meal.

The place is nice and warm. However, the seating is cramp. They served quality Hokkaido, Kobe and Kamifurano Wagyu beef and pork as well. The shabu shabu is normal with no fanfare. The quality of service is dependent on who is the server attending to...your table. The uni is fresh but relatively pricey. For the best value for the quality, opt for the Kamifurano Wagyu.More

We had made reservations for Sessa after googling online before our Niseko trip. We were made to pay a deposit in order to confirm our reservation. Hence, we had high expectations for this place. We ordered the A5 Kagoshima and A5 Hokkaido beef for sukiyaki....The sukiyaki "broth" was on the sweeter side, which we thought enhanced the beef flavour. The Kagoshima beef had more fat content, which melted almost instantly in our mouths. I couldnt really say the same for the Hokkaido beef, as it was a little more tough. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our meal, but it didn't wow us. This restaurant provides free pick-ups and drop-offs and several locations.More

This review concern Wagyu BBQ Sei managed by Sessa same management, same owner same address. I ordered Uni (Sea Urchin) at 6000 Yuen (55Usd), Hokkaido where is this restaurant is THE PLACE for Uni, these had zero taste and where 1/2 frozen, zero taste at...all, any Uni in a supermarket in HKG at 20 Usd would taste much much better ! I cannot understand how they sell Uni at 55 Usd with zero taste ! Then ordered the Wagyu trio of 3 at price of 10.000 Yens (90 Usd) , the restaurant advertise BBQ , this is non sense, there is a small heater on each table the type you buy in supermarket and use at home, this doesn't make BBQ taste! it is more like to make pancakes ! the meat has zero barbecue taste , nothing, zero ! Upon checking my bill (all written in Japanese) I asked explanation on the different lines and saw I was charged 1000 Yuen / 10 Usd for "Sake tasting" : I complained that since it is sold by the glass I asked to taste a zip get dry sake, I never saw any restaurant charging for this ! upon complaining they took out this charge. Then and this was the cherry on top of the cake I noticed they charged me 3 Usd for 2 slice of lemon which I asked for the Uni ! this is crazy , they charge the customer for 2 slices of lemon ? why not for the wasabi and the soya sauce ! I never saw this is 40 years of eating in restaurants daily! this is crazy. Then for the sake the price shown on the bottles they presented me was1000 Yens, the one I took (locally made in Hokkaido) had no price and I was charged 1800 Yens / 17 Usd per glass, double the price of other sake, I was never informed priorly ! At the end I paid over 220 Usd for one person dinner and thought it was been robbed ! I was alone in the restaurant, the windows have no isolation and it was cold . This is the 1st time I was really fed up about the poor food offered and the obvious price overcharged ! who in the world charge 3 Usd for 2 slice of lemon ??? these people don't know what they are doing or they take advantage of tourist who d'ont read Japanese and they literally rob money from customers ! BAD BAD BAD !More

I visited with my wife who enjoys quality meat and she was very happy with the meal, with a selection of meats including some wagyu. As a vegetarian, I got the broth and the accompanying veggies and tofu to make my own soup with. To...me (and I may be different from other vegetarians) that doesn't constitute a proper meal so I left feeling unfulfilled. But the wine was nice and reasonably priced, and the chocolate cake desert was tasty... :-)More

The restaurant is a bit off from the main road junction & key dining areas, they are smart to provide free shuttle to pick up pre-booked customers. Space is tight & it may be not ideal for big group. We tried shabu shabu set. Beef...was far better than pork & seafood. Overall it’s ok but there are better alternatives.More
