My friend had an interesting experience at Wild Bill's in Hirafu. She was attacked by a deer. No not a live one, a mounted deer's head. It wasn't attached to the wall and whilst she was in the bar it fell on her head, leaving...her with a nasty black eye. Not only was the manager very rude to her, blaming the incident on her, but after he agreed to pay her compensation he still has not paid this to her, over 4 months later. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone with a phobia of wild animals or bad blokes.More

I was in Wild Bills with my friend when a 50kg wall fixture fell on her face. She suffered a bad concussion, temporary loss of sight, and a broken cheek bone. If it was any closer to her head, she could have died. This happened...in December. The owner of Bills agreed, in writing, to pay for her medical bills and pay her compensation. This has not been paid yet, and she has been treated awfully by Wild Bills.More

One of my housemates on season was injured by a deer antler that fell of a wall she was sitting under, giving her severe injuries and causing her to miss work for some time. The reaction and refusal to accept responsibility for the incident was...unacceptable and compensation inadequate. Avoid this establishment where possible.More

We went as a group of 4 hung our coats in the coat room at the entry. When we left two of the four coats were stolen and when I asked the bar staff the only answer was yea that’s been happening a lot lately....No signs warning or anything and no help what’s so ever wouldn’t recommend a visit plenty of better bar. Now I have to play inflated Niseko prices for a new coat. Steer clear.More

Wild Bills is a ski bar with a pool table. Reasonably priced drinks and a good place to relax after an energetic day on the slopes.

A timber pub down the bottom of Hirafu. Food is pretty basic being a mix of burgers, tacos and fried chicken in a bar atmosphere downstairs and Mexican based menu upstairs. The beer is cold and the burgers at the bar are excellent and staff...are friendly. The Mexican upstairs was pretty basic but not the worst I've eaten. From all reports it gets pretty wild but we didn't see any of that and managed to grab a bar table and chairs albeit they are limited.More

Went a few times in a week with friends as there's not a lot of alternatives. Men's toilet STUNK. It was disgusting. Food wasn't great - the nachos were the worst I've ever had. Drinks were overpriced outside of happy hour, where there was absolutely...no vibe. Wifi never seemed to work, but the internet was fine as they were streaming ski flicks to the TVs. After a few hours of various groups asking, we finally got one of the - otherwise indifferent - staff to reboot the router and BAM, up it came. The staff all said "it's just sh*t" and to try again later - they must get it all the time. Someone needs to replace the wifi router or more likely just change the "DHCP lease timeout" setting on the router. Worse case, just have a power timer to reboot the router automatically every few hours. On the upside, the day of Superbowl where you couldn't move in the crowd, the staff at the main bar were super fast. The smaller bar they couldn't figure out their register or how to use a beer tap.More

Nice atmosphere for a drink or ten. The food here is basic, nachos, burgers and the like and really nothing to write home about.. The night we were there two guys were having a pretend 'fight' in the snow out front.. it's that kind of...place.More

This was our first visit to Wild Bill's. It is basically an Apres Ski Bar in a log cabin reproduction building more reminiscent of northern Canada than a traditional Japanese setting. Upstairs is the small but well laid out restaurant. The vibe is fresh and...fun downstairs, but we came to eat, so we headed upstairs. The staff were great, genuinely happy and attentive. The menu is based around south American type comfort food and we had two serves of their brilliant nachos. Lots of fresh salad and produce in the food and great as sharing platters. The drink list was also well priced and matched. The main tip we have is to go early as it is understandably popular and gets busy. Wild Bill's is in a central location in the main village and is easy to get to. Funky bar, great food, service and value for money, especially after a big day up in the powder.More

Great quick food and drink alternative close to our hotel. Tex/mex food, comforting if you want a change from Japanese cuisine (which was great BTW). A bit limited in beer and wine selection but very friendly with good service. We played pool and darts before...dinner, but the equipment was pretty much dead. Please splash out for new darts and a couple of pool cues!More

Stopped by for a few drinks after dinner, the staff was super friendly and prompt to serve us. It's certainly a hotspot for tourist looking for an upbeat bar scene. It certainly was that. The facilities are nice but the bar has a stench that...reminded me of paint thinner, not the best smell when your trying to drain some beers. Overall average experience.More

Wild Bill’s is situated next too the Lava Lounge. Wild Bill’s has two bar areas, one with a pool table and dart board. Upstairs is a dining area. The whole place has a kind of rustic feel with a good assortment of reasonably priced drinks....The food is Mexican and based upon the response of our group of six, it was delicious. Recommended for a good meal or night out.More
