The Japanese are often excellent at adopting / adapting Western foods. Cakes & desserts, for instance, are often far, far superior to their European ancestors. Italian food though? Not so much, generally speaking. As in, very often inedible; soggy pizzas drowned in Kraft type ’cheeze’....Awful. You’re much more likely to get a decent, thin pizza at Domino’s than at 90% of Japanese pizza places. So my expectations were low food-wise, but I was going out with som friends whom I adore, and was looking forward to slightly drunken, cheerful banter, and on those occasions the food is really not that important, is it? But as it happened, the pizzas were really nice, and for some reason all the non-pasta stuff was Spanish; gambas pil-oil, jamon serrano, that sort of stuff. ¥5000 buys you a perfectly decent Rioja, and that’s a bargain in Niseko. The Crema Catalán was anything but, but whatever it was, it was delicious. The staff (all Japanese) are super friendly and very cheerful as well. Just a really really nice, unpretentious gaff. Two thumbs up!More

In search of a restaurant that opened earlier than 6pm anywhere close to our accommodation in Lower Hirafu village, we found Yummy’s Pizza on TripAdvisor. I have to say that I was initially skeptical based on the name - unfair, I realize, though I bet...I’m not alone in this prejudgement. Thankfully, my wife read through some of the reviews and discovered quickly that this restaurant excels at much more than just pizza. We were a party of four adults and two young children, and ordered a wide range of dishes, including the cheese fondue, beef stew, seafood paella, and a margherita pizza. Everything was absolutely delicious, and (especially compared to all the horrifically overpriced food in Hirafu) very good value. Highly recommended!More

What a lovely place! Great relaxed ambiance, not overcrowded like other places in Hirafu and such lovely staff. The food was very “Yummy”. The two of us shared a starter which was fresh mozzarella, tomato, avocado and prosciutto, then had a wood fired pizza, garlic...prawns and catarana dessert (frozen creme brûlée). Everything was super delicious and all of that plus a couple of drinks was only 4,500 yen. Highly recommendedMore

While it's still good, we went recently after all the crowds had left town so it was very quiet. The food and service quality seemed a little less in stars than my visit a couple of years ago. The pizza was a little lack luster...on flavor and at ¥,2000, it's a high tariff in the now typical Hirafu style. Certainly a good place to have a break from Soba, Udon and Sushi in a nice timber clad place on the lower village.More

This was the only real pizza Place in town when we got here in 2001. Now i understand there are many. Since I don't primarely come to Niseko to eat pizza, I will not have a comparison With the other supplers in town. Yummy's, as...so many other Japanese restaurants take known European consepts and make it ever so slightly Japanese. In the best possible way of course. They have increased the menu since i was last here 6 years ago and now they have both good pizza and tasty tapas. The Food and the service is still good and the prices are still good.More

Don't let the name put you off. The food here is comfort food, done really well. Highlights are Wagyu steak, chicken wings, and of course the various pizza offerings. Cocktails are great as well!

Its seemed a bit strange going for pizza in Japan, but we had been in Japan for about 10 days and everything else nearby in Niseko was booked out. Staff are all Japanese, not an Italian in sight. They were a friendly team, with reasonable...English and provided good service. There was a good selection of traditional pizza's with thin crust, small amounts of cheese and flavorsome toppings - a bit like gourmet pizza nowadays in Oz.Prices were reasonable (average $20 a pizza). There were also a number of small but tasty entree's. There was a mistaken test of manhood involving the chilli death sauce from the condiments tray. This will lead to the ingestion of copious amounts of beer or water and inability to taste anything for 15-30 minutes. We were warned by the waiter but it was subsequent to the trial by fire.More

The owner of our lodge recommended we visit Yummy's and it was so good and convenient to our accommodation that we returned the next night. The pizzas are very tasty and loaded with toppings. The risotto was also excellent and mixed in a big cheese...wheel. The only complaint we had was the prices are a bit rich for a local eatery.More

Found this little gem just around the corner from our ski lodge. We walked straight in without a booking and were welcomed on both occasions with massive smiles from the staff. Food is really fast and good. Seafood paella, garlic prawns and pizzas all really...good. Salads fresh and the special deserts were enjoyed by the kids especially. A great variety of draught or bottled beer and an extensive wine list. The owner is an avid surfer and surfboard shaper. He has many of his designs hanging up and standing up around the restaurant. If you and your family enjoy the surf as much as the slopes, this is the place to go in Hirafu.More

We had a table of nine friends that had a great meal. Pizza Quattro Formaige was excellent. We also had the cheese and the mushroom Risotto - both excellent. A little pricey like most restaurants in Niseko area. Wait staff was good but had difficulties...with splitting the bill. Shouldn't be that hard to split a bill. Only reason why they weren't 5 stars. I will go back.More
