Visited on Good Friday after Chirk Castle. We were all fitted in despite it being a Bank Holiday and enjoyed a pleasant drink in the lounge before the meal. Excellent meal, well presented and excellent service from our host. Total bill including drinks and two bottles of wine was £90 for the five of us. Excellent quality and value. Highly... More

As a party of 12 we pre booked. It's advisable if you are after dining at a certain time or just to guarantee a table as they do get busy. On arrival staff take your drinks order and seat you in reception then take you to your table once it's ready. Food is great very tasty. They do cater for... More

Walked past it initially. Looking for a more countryside view/feel but ended up walking back as struggled to find anything else within walking distance of the caravan site. So glad we did. Lovely big chesterfield sofas to sink into, modern decor with some funky wallpaper but all very welcoming. Orders a few pints of the visiting ales and spent the... More

Excellent find. Good Sunday roast, good beer and wine. Plenty of vegetables and gravy. Crackling could have been crunchier and asked for extra sauce for sticky toffee pudding. Coffee all for £38 for 2, nice ambience and music. Lovely on a wet windy Sunday.

We were staying at the nearby caravan site and decided to go here for a meal on a Wednesday evening. It was very quiet as it was early January; we ordered drinks at the bar while we had a look at the menu. Once we'd ordered we were asked if we wanted to eat where we were seated, which we... More
