I visited alone for an evening meal and although I was apprehensive about dining alone, I needn't have worried as I was made feel welcome from the minute I walked through the door. I asked for some newspapers to read and they appeared within a few minutes, once I had been seated at a table of my choice. The staff... More

I had a business trip and was made welcome to use the carpark for a stayover. Next time I will come down in my camper as it is a great britstop place. The warm, welcoming ambiance, good ale, fantastic owners and staff. And great local produce on the menu imaginatively, and skillfully delivered. A great find, well worth seeking out.

We had Sunday lunch here today - so glad we did it was delicious! We phoned to check what time they served until and were warned they were running low on certain items - but we made it and thoroughly enjoyed it. Between us we had the roast beef and the nut roast followed by puddings. Can't wait to go... More

We were staying in a lovely cottage next door to this amazing local pub. We had heard good things about the pub at the end of the driveway but never expected it to be this good! From the moment we arrived the staff were friendly and attentive. The menu is extensive with a good kid menu too. The food was... More
