This pub does amazing good quality food. There are always extra dishes available on the specials menu. It has a lovely welcoming atmosphere. The only fault is though the dining room is lovely, it lacks the character and quirkiness of the main part of the pub, which unfortunately is quite small so there is not much room for eating. I... Visited with friends after hearing so many good comments. It was like walking into a "real pub" full of locals and plenty of character. The drink selection was very good and the prices very reasonable. The restaurant area is modern and very clean. The food "all local produce" was fantastic and the desserts to 'die for' We will definitely be... More

Only a small village, but what a hidden gem, a really traditional village pub complete with outside loos!! But the new build restaurant is cleverly integrated. The menu is varied and mothwateringly good. My choice was mussels in white wine with a main of slow roast belly pork, nicely presented with good portions and lovely fresh vegetables. The service was... More

Great pub with good range of draught ales / ciders. Fab Sunday roast - great choice of deserts in a proper village local. Friendly staff. Dogs welcome.

We live near and have been many times since the new owners took over. The standard of meal has always been very high. Service friendly and good selection of wines and gins. Xmas meal for big gang each year so that tells you all you need to know. Its a true hidden gem!

I've eaten here more than a dozen times and I or anyone I've been with has been disappointed. Fresh locally sourced food, generous portions and expertly cooked. The sea food out here is a particular favourite of mine. Warm and welcoming staff who have know all the locals and are attentive to newcomers too. They seem to specialise in British... More

Very good food, large portions, friendly and efficient service. Nice ambiance, which could have been improved without the clothes airer full of drying clothes in the beer garden!
