We had a fantastic time staying here! Everything was perfect especially the service and the views of the luscious trees and mountain sides. We enjoyed kayaking, hanging in the volcanic water, seeing San Simian, having incredible meals for breakfast and dinner, and seeing all the...area had to offer. Thanks so much for the stay! See you again soon!More

SAN Sinuan Lodge is very remote located in the laguna de Apoyo. We stayed there 3 days and everthing was superb. We especially like to mentioned the food we almost tried everthing on the menu and everything was delicious. By far the best food which...we hade during our 3 weeks vacations. Our favorites were fish taco. Filete de pescado. Greek salad and the outstanding fruitplade but everthing was very good.More

We had an amazing couple of days here. The cabanas on the coast of the Apoyo lake, secluded shower in the open air, very helpful staff and great food. We were here with our 17&18 yr old sons, who enjoyed the swimming and kayaking on...the lake. From here you can easily visit the Masaya volcan park and see the active vulcano and watch the lava bubble in the crater. Quite an experience! Only 30 mins drive from Granada and a real gem of a place!!!More

Have been coming to San Simian since 2011. Just as with the lodge, I consider the restaurant experience excellent. The menu has a variety of options, all reasonably priced. The food is fresh, carefully prepared, and served. Recently, I had the fish enchiladas and pasta,...two of my favorites. Both, were excellent, as always. There is the option to dine down on the edge of the lake or up top at the hillside restaurant. This time, I dined on the newly remodeled terrace up at the top. The terrace has been completely remodeled - new floor, roof, siding and lighting. This nicely compliments the addition he made to the bar a few years ago. Really nice spot to enjoy a meal, have a beverage, and look out over the hillside down to the Laguna. He’s also added some new landscaping and pathway lighting. And, I’ll add that the Toñas are always cold.More

Enchanting resort overlooking Crater Lake. Daniel and his staff were very hospitable! I had the fish taco and it was great! The road getting there is windy and bumpy so pack your dramamine if you have motion sickness like I do. I look forward to...visiting San Simian again!More

We are vegetarians, and we had 6 meals here. Pancakes.m were very good- thick and fluffy, Desayuno Nica was outstanding- eggs really scrambled perfectly, which isn’t easy, Desayuno Tropical was good- a little more granola than the yogurt could handle, but too much of a...good thing... well? For lunch, quesadillas were nice, salsa fresca is delightful, and veggie brochettes were excellent. Excellent! Add some beans to the veggie brochette order. Veggie fajitas were really nice for dinner. Go easy on the chopped mint if you order a mojito!More

We spent a few (too few) nights at the Lodge and therefore enjoyed breakfasts, snacks and dinners at San Simian. We liked the restaurant area a lot, in the morning we were able to watch all sorts of tropical birds while having the really delicious...breakfast. In the evening after sunset it was a very pleasant experience to taste different entree options, all of them freshly made and delicious, especially the vegetarian dishes.More

My wife and I stayed at the resort for 4 nights and ate most of our meals at the restaurant. We probably tried half of the menu and every dish was great. The staff and service are also top-notch.

Back at San Simian again for the good eats. Food here is simple, but well-prepared, delicious, and an excellent value. My favorites are the pasta, sopa de pollo, and fish dishes. Not complicated, lunch and dinner menus the same. Deysayuno Nica and fruit platter are...breakfast favorites. Toñas at the beachside bar are some of the coldest in Nicaragua. Don't miss it!More

Only one hour away from Managua I love to spend a day in this lovely place and enjoy the wonderful settings of the Laguna. What makes it even more enjoyable is the delicious food. If you are sometimes a bit tired of the usual Nica...menues, fast food or food with no taste, San Simian should be yours too. The choice is not easy, because from fresh salads to original Gazpacho up to savory fish dishes there is all, a food lover like me would want to try. Lucky me that I'm living so close....More

Have visited San Simian many times and now just back from my last trip. As always, the food was excellent. Breakfast and dinner are served up-top in the open-air reception/bar area. Lunch can be taken up-top or down at the beach bar, with impressive views...of the Laguna. Dining is laid-back and casual at both. There are several breakfast options ranging from an awesome fruit plate to Typical Nica w/ gallo pinto, eggs, fried cheese and tortillas (my favorite). Lunch and dinner menu are the same and feature ten or so main dishes plus appetizers. Personal favorites are the chicken quesadillas, pasta del dia, fish tacos and enchiladas. The soap de pollo is another favorite. Dishes are prepared w/ fresh ingredients and served-up hot, all ample servings and reasonably priced. Lunch/dinner entrees range form $5-11. Last dinner seating is at 7pm. There is a bar up top and down at the beach. The bar has a very good selection of liquors. Drinks are all made from scratch. Toñas are plentiful and ice cold. The staff is pleasant and efficient.More

Fish Enchilados and the Fresh Fish with rice and vegetables were my favorite and for dessert the chocolate ice cream with caramelized pineapple-...lick your plate good! Breakfast had a very good selection and lunch you could eat anywhere you liked. They staff would come by to take your supper order between 4:30 and 5 pm and you could eat promptly at time selectedMore
