It was a Saturday evening. The restaurant was full of people but the service time was quite good. Staff was good and friendly especially the sommelier lady. Food were ordinary, nothing special but errorless. The offered wines from the local wineregion were tasty and their price were suprisingly cheap.

This cozy restaurant is on the way to the small city of Celano in the Abruzzo region. It is surrounded by mountains and dominated by the Piccolomini castle. The atmosphere was very rustic with a lot of wood, an open fireplace and elegant tables. As an appetizer they brought us a bruschetta with tomato; further we had fettuccine with wild... More

We have visited this restaurant numerous times and it never fails to delight. The food is like home cooking done by experts. The pasta dishes are amazing -- especially the ones with meat based sauces - the fettucine with wild boar being the best. The portion sizes reflect the theme of country, home-style cooking so the value level is incredibly... More

Beautiful pranzo in a wonderful setting. There should be more ristorante of this standard in Abruzzo. All courses were excellent, particularly the ravioli. Will definitely return with our visitors from overseas.

Took the meat based entree with salame, etc. Not so fantastic. Followed by wild boar pasta(average), and grilled lamb main dish.(over cooked but ok). Maybe next time I should try the pizza and beef instead as it seems to be ordered by many other customers. Overall portion is big, price is very reasonable. Average or so so food (meat based).... We stayed at the Hotel Le Gole next door, and just happened to walk into the restaurant in the evening. The hotel had a restaurant inside of the hotel, but this one is just next door. We absolutely loved it! The food was great and the service impeccable by older waiters who's done this all their lives. The restaurant was... More
