I had dinner here one evening on a table outside. It was ok, the service was friendly but I expected a bit more from the cooking judging by the reviews on here. In fact, the pictures on here look better than what I was served. Perhaps chef was having an off day.

Well visited restaurant. Great outdoor terrasse under big platanage trees. Food is well cooked made from local products. Staff is professional and nice. Good value.

This restaurant in St Gilles seemed like the best available in the town, even though we were staying at the hotel. The location was very good, outside under the plane trees and as evening descended we could watch the bats feeding overhead. Unfortunately the mosquitos were also feeding on us, but we could have retreated inside. We started with the... More

We stumbled upon this restaurant after dismissing the offerings on the main street and what a superb find! We had cycled from Arles so were hungry and had goats cheese salad, entrecôte steak and a lovely apricot tart. Waiter was very helpful and gave us a map to get us to the abbey which we had come to see. Great... More

Chose to spend our first night out in France here as the place was popular/busy. We had endured a full day travelling so had not quite wound down. Extensive menu, seemed mainly French (surprise surprise!) and I was unfamiliar with many of the dishes and ingredients. Maybe we should have been a little more adventurous but we chose to have... Really impressed by the meal here tonight. Despite the other reviews that have cited slow service, we found the service exceptionally good, both friendly and efficient. The food was divine. In particular we liked the fish dishes, the steak and the omelette. Cheese board was also delicious. All in all, head here. Menus of c20 euros felt like good value.

Service was slow at first. But, they were busy after we seated. Good locale wine selection. Recent renovations pleasing. Local senior crowd dining. Very quite and quiant. The restaurant and patrons did not seem to mind our noisy style. Food was average. Particularly the beef/steak selections. Which I believe are typical of this region. The fish soup was excellent with... More

Our hotel was 7km from Saint Gilles and so after a long day of travel and not a great check-in we had to find a place to eat. Saint Gilles was the only nearby town and it seemed, well, closed and the first day of our holiday was looking - not that great :-( Its that time when you need... More

We had a lovely 4 course meal at Le Cours. It seems very popular with the locals & upon walking around the town it seems it is an excellent (and only one of few) options. We had heard good things about the restaurant & it generally lived up to expectations. The food was flavoursome, well proportioned & there was good... More
