Place in front of the sea, local atmosphere, excellent service, fresh ingredients very well cooked. I tried to use my crapy Italian but when the owner and waiters noticed we were Spanis, they did their best to use my language. An effort very appreciated.

Every year, I feel the need of coming to La Conca (at sunset if possible), enjoying what real food should taste like, drinking a glass of fantastic local wine, enjoying slow life. I have written it a few years ago and I repeat it today: if you had Just one night to spend in the whole Sorrento Coast, La Conca is the place to be. This is where you understand what Southern Italy hospitality and real (fresh, zero km, seasonal ingredients) food in simple recipes is all about. The wonderful sunset and location by the sea are the least important features, compared with the courtesy of Antonio's family and staff and the quality of meals!

once seated at the table we waited about 20/25 minutes just for a menu that I had to get myself from another table. After another quarter of an hour we finally manage to order two simple first courses, a spaghetti with clams and a pacchero with monkfish. Long story short, spaghetti arrived 10 minutes before the pacchero, sticky full of oil and totally tasteless. The pacchero was not only tasteless but the portion was ridiculous, I think around 20/30g of total meal. The waitress, after asking me how it went, also got angry after I calmly replied "more or less" and chased me to the cash register in a very aggressive and impertinent manner, forcing me to list all the negative notes of the evening in front of an incredulous cashier who remained in silence. The only positive note, the owner, a very great gentleman, probably realized that something had gone wrong and sent us away without charging us, a gesture not for everyone. Maybe it only went badly for us...

Ristorante La Conca is a hidden gem and has been our favorite dining experience for our part of six so far in Italy. (Actually a global favorite as well) The scenery is breathtaking, the owner (Mario) and wait staff are friendly, kind, relaxed, and only wanting for you to have a wonderful dining experience. They deliver! There is soft bossa nova music playing in the background, with volume perfectly set to add to the ambiance, and not take away from the sound of the surf which is but 20-30 feet away at the accessible rocky beach. And the food… oh the food!!! The dishes are creative, thoughtful, exceptionally flavored… I find I have been unconsciously comparing all flavors to this meal since eating here. I would eat here again if we were staying longer. (The prices are every reasonable too!) A MUST!!!!

Inspired by positive reviews and the desire to try a new place, we came across the restaurant La Conca. The staff, mainly composed of guys, is really very nice. Equally kind is the Owner who, however, was not exactly cooperative when I pointed out that they had brought me to the table a bottle of Natia water already uncorked and with tap water inside passing it off as a new bottle and then we were charged for 2.5 with the designation “restaurant water”. Also, two people sitting next to us and arriving at least 10 min later (being friends of Owner and waiters) ordered and were served first. Coming to the quality of the food, we are average even though there are so many restaurants of better quality and with the same prices. Too bad, we had high expectations but in the end they were turned off

Everything perfect or almost but one point is missing. The location is unique, having lunch practically on the sea with the Sorrento coast in plain sight is priceless. We ordered seafood first and second courses and I must say the dishes of the day that were proposed to us by the very kind staff were really well made; negative note: the desserts, nothing special, the semifreddos were hard as soon as they came out of the freezer. Price in line with the context. Where is the point missing? In portions! Some dishes, especially the first courses were tasting portions, were pointed out to the waiter who shrugged his shoulders as if to say what can I do? We no longer insisted so as not to appear controversial. My portion of first course was 40 grams, but I wonder what a little more pasta costs? The restaurant is very nice, it has a terrace directly overlooking the sea. Unfortunately we didn't find a free table outside, but the day was so hot that staying in the inside room turned out to be a better solution. We were greeted immediately by very kind staff, very welcoming and also knowledgeable about celiac disease. We opted for a seafood menu and everything turned out to be very delicate and tasty. I particularly highlight the spaghetti with citrus pesto, basil, walnuts and prawns The mixed fried calamari, anchovies and shrimp was also very good. Maybe the prices were a little high, but let's say that for what we ate and the quality of the ingredients I can't absolutely complain.

We came to this restaurant for dinner based on the numerous positive reviews from friends and acquaintances and we were not disappointed. The location is very suggestive, practically on the sea... the atmosphere is pleasant and the service is kind and essential. The menu is full of fish dishes and good desserts, the prices are average for the Sorrento coast, that is to say always a little high but the products are fresh and the food is well cooked. My boyfriend and I decided to have dinner in this restaurant on a Saturday night, I state that we had already been there two years ago and we loved it. We returned especially for the quality of the fish, which unfortunately had a bad drop. I understand the prices, we paid a fry of squid 20 euros as well as a grilled fish, but with the quantities we are not really there. Davvero minime! We would have preferred to spend something more but certainly for larger portions, in fact my boyfriend asked for a larger portion of squid that cost us 4 euros more but was identical to the “normal” one. As for the location is a bit spartan, in the end it’s about eating on a beach, so I think they should focus a bit more on the quality and quantity of food. A warm welcome that is not often found in these parts, waiters and some of the staff are very kind and always available, professionalism is not lacking. I highly recommend it for those who love to enjoy food while listening to the sound of the waves crashing on the shore, all accompanied by the smell of the sea which makes any dish something special. I was with my husband for dinner last night. What about it? All very good. Fresh fish. Hearty first courses. Kindness, friendliness and courtesy in the room. The only flaw maybe was the frying of squid, as good as everything else, we were just a little 'bad from the small amount arrived on the plate .. we expected something more for the price shown on the menu. Octopus salad and delicious marinated fish. Spaghetti with citrus fruits, walnuts and sublime shrimp, spaghetti with clams we found a little sand as already reported, but overall good as well as cooking spaghetti. Price: a bit expensive. But considering you are on the sea and the quality is good, it fits. I'd just put more squid in the fry. This place is simply magic. Antonio and his team welcome their guests in a restaurant located right on the beach, at few steps from the sea. The view is fantastic! They offer a menu of fresh local food and Antonio loves to explain the history behind each dish. I have been there several times over the years and have never been disappointed :)
