Used to be a good pub for food , but not any more. It was very expensive for ordinary pub grub. Six of us plus a child had three starters, we shared because they were £6.75 each, 6 standard adult meals and one child, plus drinks. The bill came to a staggering £157! My meal arrived without the advertised coleslaw,... More

It's amazing! One of the last truly traditional pubs in terms of atmosphere, decor and service. The place was covered in pub memorabilia and collectables, but not forcibly, which really sets it aside from the new age pub that has nothing but chairs and the smell of wood varnish. I could live there. The staff were very friendly and fast... More

I went to Stilebridge a couple of years ago and had a below average experience to say the least. We thought we would try it again and I have to say that I couldn't have been more impressed. Apparently there is new management in charge now and I have to say that it is a HUGE improvement on the previous... More

We booked a birthday party for 12 here on the 8th of April. We were accommodated so well with friendly attentive service. Food was incredible and the drinks kept coming! Friendly staff, great food, great beer. Not a single complaint. Thank you!

Such a shame that the Landlord and his lovely family have left. It used to have such a wonderful atmosphere but now it feels as if nobody wants to be there, including the new 'improved' management.

We've been going here for years; think that may change. Quality of the real ales is a lottery for me now - some can be like drinking vinegar. Management nowhere to be seen or doing very little on busy shifts, and why oh why have a fire on in March when it's nearly 20 degrees outside! We've been in there... More

Three of us visited and had a variety of dishes. Helpful friendly service appetising food. I very much enjoyed the Bourbon and Pecan tart dessert which was beautifully presented. Interesting selection of beers too, the dark draught porter I had was very good.

We came here about 5 years ago and loved it so thought we'd go back for Mothers Day. The staff were friendly and the roast was ok but I wouldn't go back. The restaurant lacked character, the starter had toasted bread, which had been left sitting on the side and was cold and chewy. The bread which then came was... More

Just held my wife's 60th birthday party here. Atmosphere was amazing, seven piece band (Cartoon Heroes:-six musicians and a genius on the mixer), John, the new manager, and his staff did a fantastic job, caring and attentive throughout. The buffet served by the chef and his team was out of this world, we catered for fifty, sixty five turned up,... More

Stile Bridge Freehouse Pub & Restaurant is an independent, family owned country pub serving a wide range of real ales, wonderful wines and a spectacular Gin List in addition to the usual spirits.

With a fully commercial kitchen cooking food freshly prepared from local produce, a vegetarian-friendly mix of English cuisines from old favourites to something a little different awaits and all at very reasonable prices.

There is a large patio garden with plenty of benches and seating for the summer and real fires indoors for the colder winter months.

There is a separate restaurant inside the spacious interior of the pub but customers are welcome to eat in the bar and lounge areas should they choose to.

A large free car park is available for all our visitors.
