We ate twice here as the tapas were lovely and the Ribera wine was gorgeous! In fact all the red wines were excellent - very smooth. We tried the mushrooms which were creamy and tasty although one between 2 people is fine as they can get a bit rich. I loved the goats cheese puff pastry with jam - absolutely... More

Nothing to highlight. Nothing to blame but small details that change your experience. Octopus was tough but tasty, or was it tasty but tough? Don't change your cutlery between courses, don't bring bread, they simply don't ask.

We found this centrally located gem quite easily after a pleasant stroll from our hotel by the coast. Other than a scan of some TA reviews, we didn't really know what to expect. Having been totally immersed in the Tapas scene for 2 weeks in Spain, we were looking for something a little different and perhaps a bit more up... More

Basically the food is great here. It gets very busy later in the evening but this is all part of the atmosphere. The mango salad is delicious and so are the potatoes. There is also a good wine list. The service is standard, the staff are just very busy. If you smile at the waitress, she does smile back.

This small authentic tapas bar served some of the most delicious tapas I have ever had. Real value for the money. They also serve great, and cheap, wine.

Unlike other reviewers I got good service at this unassuming little place. In Alicante there are plenty of tourist trap restaurants with their photos of paella and menus in English out front. El Foc is not one of them. It attracts a local crowd that must be going back for the food. I had a simple jamon serrano, but it... More

What a great little restaurant. Simple menu and no fuss. Busy with locals and great tapas with a simple twists that make them special and worth trying. Highly recommend.

Have eaten here a bunch of times and always enjoy it. There's a nice selection of salads and heavier dishes, the horse-burger is amazing. The ambience is really nice, casual bodega buzz. There's a good selection of wines too to sample by the glass. As commented by others the service is pretty poor, sadfaced unattentive waitresses(...6 million unemployed Spaniards...). Saying...
