The service is good, the premise Mexican colonial deco. The only comun dishes you will find are, Steak and Pasta with aioli. The rest of the menu is noveau Mexican from traditional dishes of the State of Oaxaca. Tlayudas, grass hoppers, and moles. We tried as entree the Huitlacoche fondue, and it was good. The Huauzontles dish was good, but... More

A great place for dinner. Excellent service and awesome food. During Fridays there is a live jazz band. We just had parking issues because the valet parking was inside the restaurant and we needed to wait a while. A must go place in Metepec.

One of the best restaurants that I have ever been. Unique and original Mexican flavors in most of the options. Outstanding service with great "owned" wine and beer (talk with the sommelier)! Definitively, a great experience.

This review is hard to write. The restaurant is charming, good atmosphere, good service. The problem is the type of food, if you have a taste for crickets, ants and so on, I would recommend this restaurant. I had the mushroom soup, and T Bone, both dishes had very little taste would not recommend any of the dishes I had,... More

This place was the biggest pleasant surprise of my most recent visit to Toluca. Metepec is just around the corner and this lovely restaurant is very close to the old town center. The very old house is greatly maintained in (one?) of its previous styles. But the traditional food is the top reason to make the visit. Great quality with... More

We enjoyed a fabulous dinner with an excelent wine, there are a variety of authentic dishes well cocked and great retro atmosphere, I believe this is the only fine dinning restaurant right in Downtown Metepec colonial and magic town.

It is a nice place, delicious mexican food, ideal for couples. Not so cheap but you get what you pay for.

I like everything here. Owners are kind and attentive, the place is beautiful: an art gallery / museum / restaurant bar. An old building, art on the walls, excellent food, fine wine and authentic local beverages (as mescal) will delight your senses. Come and see a real “troje” (kind of a granary), they kept it.

Carved out of part of a mansion with deep roots in Mexican history, this restaurant serves upscale versions of food that ranges from upscale Mexican to international fusion. Some of the items are very hard to find in other places--escamoles (ant eggs), tacos de venado (venison), etc. Other dishes are given a delicious twist: tlayuda (imagine a Mexican pizza with... The place is on top of an old bookstore / library, is and old mexican house turned into an upscale restaurant. Great place to enjoy some great service and taste original creations from the chef. You can find dishes you won't find anywhere else. Prices are a bit high so I would recommend only for a special dinner. Is not... More
