I usually stay in the hotels in Hibiya but never have a chance to visit Old Imperial Bar until my last visit. Actually a staff who works in a bar told me in old days, many businessmen in Tokyo loved to have a drink and light meal here to wrap up the day so I decided to try it out.... More

The Old Imperial Bar is a very classy establishment within the Imperial Hotel Tokyo. Some of the old artwork and architecture from the Frank Lloyd Wright designed Imperial Hotel (1923-1967) was salvaged and placed in the Old Imperial Bar. Definitely worth stopping in for a well made drink.

The Old Imperial Hotel was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and was among the few buildings left standing during the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923. Wright is said to have been working in the hotel at the time. As you savour a cocktail here, you will feel the spirit of Wright and enjoy the motifs. The cocktails here are sumptuous.

This is almost all that remains of the original Imperial Hotel designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. The architecture is very interesting, and the service was great. Our cocktails were perfect and the ambiance very relaxing and inviting. A must even for non-drinkers!

Any Frank Lloyd Wright lover will absolutely lose it at this awesome bar. The hotel used to be entirely designed by Wright but was renovated for the more modern tourist and only this bar remains from the original. They saw that my friend and I were excited about the architecture and kept bringing us over books and telling us stories... More

Fantastic service, even with kids!! Not that it's a kids bar, but nice kids are served with appropriate drinks. A great place, where time is not moving very fast. Can be difficult to find in the hotel, but keep looking.

My wife and I had an after dinner cocktail at the Old Imperial Bar. It was a throw back to the thirties , the late forties and early fifties with the Frank Lloyd Wright design and the the pictures of the American movie stars and athletes (Babe Ruth) on the wall. The service was outstanding. It reminded me a little... More

My wife daughter and I sought out the Old Imperial Bar to both check out their signature cocktail, the Mount Fuji and to admire the Frank Lloyd Wright design. Every member of the staff was professional and accommodating. It was impressive to watch the bartenders work like craftsman mixing amazing variety of cocktails all from memory. My wife was pleased... Rather dark bar with saloon type atmosphere. Many different whisky types available. Smoking allowed. Prices according to high hotel standard.
