Rather than try a Japan "KFC" Christmas meal, opted for a Michelin starred French restaurant for Christmas Dinner. Most Tokyo restaurants had set meals for the Christmas occasion, so Monna Lisa's seemed to be a the "mid-average range" that many other restaurants considered were charging - this was ¥15,000/head (US$128/head), excluding tax & alcohol. Ambiance was cosy, albeit a little... More

Great French restaurant but without a full bar. Ok wine selection; however, what they lacked in the service and alcohol department, they made up in food. It was simply amazing - we all loved our dishes and the different variety of them - venison, Australian beef, black cod, young duck just to name a few! And then there were desserts........ More

Very good modern French with innovative use of Japanese ingredients. The restaurant has an old school elegant feel and lovely views of the Imperial Palace from the 37th floor of the Marounouchi Building. Each of our meals were Saturday lunches and the crowd on each visit looked to be the ladies who lunch or slightly older groups of couples /friends.... More

I thought this was a really value-for-money meal. The service is great, the view is amazing (36th floor view from the Marunouchi building lets you see the entire Tokyo skyline and a beautiful sunset) and the food was superb. For 10,000 yen (I got menu B), I was served 7 courses. There was also a complimentary starter and bread, as... More

This place must be seen to be believed, the view over Tokyo is phenomenal and the presentation of each dish showed such artistic flair and dedication to perfection it really was a true dining experience. Some of the dishes shone brighter than others but for what you pay it really is outstanding value. We even had the maitre 'd bring... More

Presentation was excellent and the desserts were beautifully decorative. We had a set menu, some of which was good but my pork 'main' course was overcooked and a bit tough. A bit more seasoning would have helped too. The wine decanters were most unusual. Our guests enjoyed it though so job done.

Often a bit skeptical about going to fancy French restaurants on the 36th floor of a fancy building (Marunouchi Building) ... where they tend to look down on customers, who are not quite up to scratch ... I was delightfully surprised. We felt very welcomed. The service was fantastic ... (being a foreigner) they naturally handed me an English menu... More

A superb setting awaits you as you step into the Mona Lisa restaurant in the Marunouchi building. Tables are arranged either to view the grounds of the Imperial palace or the modern city skyscape. The food is wonderfully presented with delicate tastes. The menu is changed frequently. The price is reasonable for the excellent service and the delicious food. The... More
