I found this place with TripAdvisor after a long day of walk and was hungry for dinner somewhere close by. What a lucky find! It was night time and around New Years, so everywhere else was closed around the restaurant. The neighborhood was so quiet and dark and I almost was regretting walking here...little did I know, this place would... More

If you're looking for detailed information about the food, check out my other reviews of Kikanbo, as the quality of the food has not changed nor what they have on the menu. Kikanbo has gone full bilingual. The vending machine has all English options. The spice menu is now updated with full English. The queuing information is also in English.... More

I hate posting negative reviews. But this place recommended by Phil (of I'll have what Phil's having) really did not meet our expectation. I love spicy food and went to kikanbo specifically craving that. The ramen was so salty that even the noodles had absolved so much salt that if I took the broth out they still will be inedible.... I tested the deluxe pork ramen and it is really delicious. Both the pork and the broth are absolutely first class: you get a fantastic ramen and two big pieces of pork that melts in your mouth. The atmosphere is nice and cool, recalling reminiscent of devils and hell. Price are cheap, so everything is perfect!

The atmosphere is so unique and cool, kind of reminiscent of one and he'll. Very rich broth and lots of options regarding spiciness and sechuan.

The big pork ramen is delicious. So is the deluxe one. Only 1050¥ and the pork melts in your mouth. Less or medium spice would be enough for most people- it's very spicy! So good we came back after the first time!

Typical Tokyo ramen shop with very atypical ramen. Both the pork and the broth are absolutely first rate. Please recall, the Japanese are not chili heads. So what they consider demon hot isn't that bad. Cash only, like almost all ramen shops. Easy 25 minute walk from Tokyo station

Simply put, the perfect broth, thick and spicy (different levels of spicy to choose amongst). The noodles are also great. Located close to Kanda station. Clean place. No lines when we visited.

If you're thinking about going here, just go and don't ask questions. It's amazing, also make sure you get the normal ramen and two big pieces of pork. LITERALLY the best pork I've ever tasted.

Thank franksan

Ochanomizu boasts its academic foundations starting with Yushima Seido, the birthplace of modern day Japanese education. The area has kept its college town feel with several university campuses.
