Finally we got the table in Yoshizawa. You should make a reservation before, otherwise you won't get the table. We order matsusaka beef of sukiyaki. The beef is unbeatable, marble and tender. Highly recommended.

the decor is quite utilitarian, which was fine, as we wanted to focus on our beef! whilst it is clear that they are popular with international tourists, this is not a tourist trap, nor is there any obvious sign of catering towards foreigners my son is not a sukiyaki aficionado, and he was a tad sceptical when we were advised... This was my 4th visit at this traditional sukiyaki and shabu shabu restaurant. It's located off the main ginza street across from Chanel and behind Mitsukoshi department store. It's not open on holidays and Sunday's so plan your trip there before hand. Lunch is a much cheaper option but it closes by 2pm so don't expect to have a late... More

99% of tourists will never find this place. It is barely on TA and most reviews are not in English. I did a lot of research to find the best, most affordable Wagyu in Tokyo and happened on this restaurant, which is also a meat distributor. It was nice if I havent try other that is more fine than this place. Although the place was easily within walking distance from the heart of ginza, the staffs were very friendly nice warm and polite, and they have english menu, chinese menu. I am impressed.
