We came here as a last resort one day at the Tsukiji Market. It was ok since we waited in line for less than an hour. Our seating started at 11:15. My husband and I both selected the chefs recommendation package. It was ¥7200 for two adults. The other reviews are true that they rip you off, they like to... More

We knew we wanted to have sushi at a place by Tsukiji for the experience but all the places recommended by our travel book had crazy lines and some were booked for the day! We walked around and saw this place with a short line but as it only has 10 or so seats we waited about 15-20 minutes before... More

I have been going to Tsukuji quite a few times throughout the years. I have also tried different sushi restaurants in different cities in Japan. I read good reviews about Okame and so I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, this is the worst sushi place I have ever been to in Japan. The chef should have never touched... More

We ordered the special which was supposed to come with 10 pieces and only got 8. Also, the knife work was incredibly sloppy. Great fish + sloppy knife work = okay sushi. Definitely not worth it.

It was my first time coming to Tsukiji two weeks ago. We arrived at around 10 am so naturally the lines for Sushi Dai and Daiwa were already insane. Thus, we decided to try Okame instead as the line was pretty short, and we've heard some good things about it. However, I was really disappointed with Okame. I ordered the... More

This place is a gem in the Tsujiki Market area. Most people are lining up for hours next door for Sushi Dai, but just a few stores down is Okame. The sign IS in japanese so I had someone tell me where to go but I uploaded the sign here for you as well. The sushi bar is Very small,... More

Tsukiji market is a must go on my list but i didn't have any reservation of any restaurant. So when i see the big crowd outside the famous Daiwa, I chose Okame instead. I guess i was among the last batch of customers of that day and entered the restaurant around 2 p.m. and some other shop had already closed.... More

Great experience and wanted to make sure other travelers who value their time know about okame. To start, it's hard to know which is which so I'm including a picture of the awning. It's located in the second alley of stores on the same street as Daiwa and Suhsidai, but on the opposite end (the side closer to the entrance... More

I went to Tsukiji to expect sushi dining without any plan for a restaurant. I tried Daiwa-sushi which is one of famous and alway has a long line to wait before, Sushi-bun which is one of my favorite sushi bar in Japan which serves very very soft texture ANAGO with very thick sweet soy source, and others there. There were... More
