My hotel the Capitol Hotel Tokyu recommended this sushi restaurant for lunch. My wife and I found the sushi to be excellent, but the sushi chef was not a great host. He catered only to the Japanese people at the restaurant and generally ignored the...More

Despite the very friendly service, this hefty priced omakase is not worth your visit. Sushi was just average, nothing I will remember within a few days. I really don’t mind paying high prices for great food, but Kanekasa is just not worth it . Try...More

This is the second time I visited this restaurant, and I have visited the branch in Palace Hotel and also the two branches in Singapore. They are all good but this one (“Honten”, meaning original shop) is still the best. The fish is the best...More

Very average sushi. Given the hefty price tag would not recommend. Go if you want to get swept up by the Michelin Star thing but save your money for a fantastic bowl of ramen and buy yourself a new cashmere sweater. Sushi was just ok,...More

For $300, you can eat WAY better than at Kanesaka. No idea how they got their Michelin star, the 3 pieces of tuna we got were so sinewy that you could not chew through it. Other pieces were less than subpar, zero creativity, zero melt...More

Great sushi lovingly prepared and served on antique ceramic plates. A great experience! A little difficult for a Westerner to find the concierge at Keio Plaza did a great job with directions.

Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's
also a downtown area with shops that were founded over
a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury
boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza.
It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll
while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels,
world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a
collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular
