I've never had a meal like this. You sit at the counter and the super-nice chef gives you, rapid-fire, fried skewers. Probably 20-25 of them. And then you leave. Sounds awful, right? Well, it's wonderful. The frying process is delicately done and they feel extremely light and non-oily. The things he is frying can range from a simple shrimp to... More

Rokukakutei located in Ginza. They serve many kind of kushikatsu with 5 sauce. They will serve you kushikatsu until you say stop. I ate around 20 kushikatsu and price was around $ 90.

This place is great once you find where it is. The skewers were fresh tasty and fast service. Wine was also equally as good, again fast service. Liked having my wine chosen for me, and was always good. Worth seeking out this gem!

This is an absolutely brilliant Kushi Katsu restaurant (deep fried small pieces on skewers). There’s no menu or wine list which can be a little daunting, but let yourself go & trust the chefs and sommelier. The selection of skewers just keeps coming until you say stop and includes - lotus root, octopus, scallops, beef, fish, pork, cheese balls (to... More

We went to the Osaka branch instead, and it was a delightful playful and delicious experience. Amazing how they are able to make this Osaka Delicacy into something so upscale and fun. http://ahballing.net/2014/02/20/rokukakutei/

impeccable service, the chef will prepare small skewers of tasty food for you. When served, the skewer will point to one of the 5 sauces you have in from of you, indicating which one you should use. They will keep serving you until you let them know that you are OK and you pay by the skewer so.... Wine list... More

This tiny restaurant in Ginza confirmed how great food can be in Tokyo. We sat at the bar, facing the chef as he cooked dish after dish, and totally enjoyed the experience. Food was awsome, varied and fresh. Everyhing I had hoped for. Wine list is impressive, but let yourself be guided by the chef's suggestion....you will smile. Really a... More

We were searchiing for something other than sushi in Ginza. And we had heard of Rokukakutei in the Koji Building. We've had a lot of problem finding recommended restaurants in Tokyo--so here are our specific directions. To find it, it's about two blocks away from the Ginza B5(?) exit. You'll know you're at the right Koji Building when you see... More
