Most gyoza taste of gyoza.... Tenryu gyoza tastes of the ingredients. Hands down the best in Tokyo! I always have to line up but it's always worth it.

The gyoza menu selection is a plate of at least eight huge dumplings. The gyoza is two to three times larger than typical gyoza in other restaurants, fresh and juicy. We came here for lunch, and the gyoza was a common order on most of the tables. The restaurant was busy with families and business people, but service was brisk.

Salty food, expensive food and fair ice cream. I dont use to go chinese restaurant which is not good at chinese food, Do you? I would not take this one

I came here a year ago for the first time. Have been craving their gyoza ever since. Back in Tokyo and have tried the other popular gyoza places and nothing even compares. Their gyoza / pork dumplings are the best ever.

Go to Tenryu if you want to eat Gyoza. Full stop. They are really awesome. There is only one type and they come in portions of 8. I ate 6 :) The other Chinese food was ok but not impressive. Egg and shrimps was nice and tasty but eggplant mapotofu and green vegetable were both swimming in starchy sauce which... More

We wandered in here and tried to see what other patrons were enjoying. We spotted the beautiful Gyoza! A plate of those with shrimp with chili sauce (also excellent) and a couple of cold beers made us very happy people! I think we are still dreaming of those gyoza.... (sigh)

We only tried Tenryu and Harajukugyozaro for gyoza. IMHO, Tenryu is way better than Harajukugyozaro. Given that other reviewers think Harajukugyozaro is the best in Tokyo, then logically, that would make Tenryu a contender for best gyoza in Tokyo. We only had space for a takeaway (¥1,080 for 8 massive double sized gyoza, so about the same one would pay... More
