We try to visit a Din Tai Fung in every city we visit. And this one is just as yummy as all the others.

Always tricky to find place to eat when travelling alone. Restaurant was pleasantly busy but no queue. Very helpful maitre de who despite our lack of a common language helped with menu. There were English listings but few clues about what to put with what so help was needed. Food served quickly and tasted very good. Plenty of other diners... More

I am a big Din Tai Fung fan and was happy to see that there are locations in Japan. Food and service was very nice - however not as perfect as in Taiwan or Singapore. Still worth going there for great Dim Sum etc

I rate excellent because, even if it's not the original quality, I think it's probably the best branch in Tokyo. Xiao Long Bao is not the original, but it's the best we had in Tokyo for sure. One comment though, the location is not a perk -- on that front the Takashiyama Times Square Branch in Shinjuku is way better.

Good service and reasonably priced. Worthwhile for those who have not tried Din Tai Fung in Taiwan. You WILL be disappointed if you are expecting the same fresh taste as the original. The signatures dumpling is greasy and smelled too porky, fried rice is dry and sticky rice dumpling tasted sour. Hello, this is Chinese dumpling, why does it taste... More

I used to live in China for 6 years and these Taiwanese restaurants do the best dumplings. In China it s cheaper with more choice but it s tasty in all restaurants

This particular restaurant is one of my favorites. First, you can breathe, no smoking. My child will eat the greens and the meat in the dumpling is a flavor foreigners can eat easily. I've eaten here for many years and will continue as long as it is there.

This is the place to go for xia long boa. This location is off the beaten path to some extent. This place is small, very small, but I guess that s the norm in Tokyo. I was a bit disappointed as the menu is not as extensive as other Din Tai Fungs in Asia. WE ordered the alb and some... More

I love this place. At least once a week I come for lunch and some times also late dinners. The lunch sets are very fast and tasty. The dumplings are wonderful, juicy, delicate, and tasty. My favorites are pork and vegetarian, plus mango/plum dumpling for dessert. The menu has a lot of other dishes as well so this is perfect... More

2nd location of Din Tai Fung that I've enjoyed. The taste was a excellent as I remembered from my first visit....especially the pork dumpling. As others have said, location is not impressive. But, it is a short walk to near-by hotels, such as Conrad, and to Shimbashi station. The good point of the location is we never had two wait... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
