I visited Shakey's in Shibuya for dinner and I ordered a pizza, which although it wasn't overly expensive (about $8.50AUD) it was also very small with very little toppings on it. For around a further $7.50AUD I ordered the chicken skewers, receiving two of them on a small plate it really felt like their should be at least two more... More

- Pizza is above average compared to other japanese restaurants - place is little cramped - all you can eat .. which is good - you can also choose 1 drink with unlimited refills, so if you choose cola then you are stuck with drinking cola for the end of the night - not my favorite place in shibuya, but... We went to Shakey's more for nostalgia than anything else. The taste is reminiscent of what you get in Shakey's in other parts of the world. The main offering is buffet but for a family of six like ours with small kids a buffet meal is not always the most economical. The staff are only too happy for us to... More

Oh wow. I woke up this afternoon really jonesing for some pizza. I looked at google images of pizzas and started to get serious about eating some. I like dominos because it's great but it's kind of expensive in Japan so I bared it and went to shakey's with my road dawgs because they have all you can eat and... More

Good pizza even if it did have a few weird toppings like corn. Very clean great price and gave me a touch of American food when needed.

Pizzas are there in many tastes. Even they made vegetable Pizzas solely for our request! Can have as many Pizzas we want within 2 hrs time for a fixed prize along with a salad bar including vegetables and fruits. A soft drink is also included to the package. Really worth for the money!

When I was a child, in the 80's and early 90's, my softball team would go to Shakey's after every game - win or lose. Then somewhere around 1994 it (only one in town) closed down, never to return. So imagine my surprise when I walked around a corner in Tokyo ans saw a sign for Shakey's pizza! Of all... More

If you're familiar with Shakey's in the US then you'll be familiar with Shakeys in Japan. Same taste but some different toppings....tuna, corn, squid ink, etc. They also have some of the basic toppings Americans are used to but why not try something different? At least during the lunch buffet you can try a slice if everything. Casual dinning without... More

I travel around the world and try as many different pizza places as possible. This was by far one of the worst pizza places I have ever been to. This is on the same level as the 3 dollar cici pizza buffets in America (yeah, 300 yen buffets). I watched them make the crust, they did not let it sit... More

Our young children were looking for a familiar meal in a foreign land, and Shakey's hit the spot. The service was not very good, but the thin crust pizza and beer (for the grown-ups) was exactly what we were looking for. Approximately $30 for a whole pepperoni pizza and 2 beers.

Staying in Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu

Neighbourhood Profile
Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.
