Zauo Fishing Restaurant had appeared in many tourism shows before, that's why I think of give it a try. But the restaurant ambience is quite disappointing. Since the big boat decorative is the main attraction of the restaurant, they still have plenty of seats behind the private room dining and blocked the view. The space is so confine and makes... Really enjoyable night out with the family. We had a private room which was extra fun with kids. Guaranteed to catch a fish.

Overall it's a fun evening out. Having done it once you I probably wouldn't do it again but it's a really cool thing to do. There was no confusion over pricing or how the system worked. The staff were friendly and helpful. They have a smile system where you can give a smile card to an employee that is particularly... More

We had a great time here - caught three items (flounder, sea bream and top shell) . Made the evening quirky and fun - something that Japan has oodles of. Unlike other reviews we didn't have any issues with the price of fish - only lobster and top shell were price per kg the fish were same price for each... More

The concept is nice, but we fished a mackerel and they charged us 3800 yens for a médium sized fish, which was announced at 900 on the price list. The girl said it was a special fish not on The list, come on...and the shashimis was bad cutted + service is poor

It is a must do experience when in japan. The experience starts from the very pretty restaurant and helpful staff, passing by the fun of getting your own fish and the celebrations when you get it. And then the most amazing part of the experience eating the freshest sushi and sashimi from a fish you just caught. Indescribable feeling. Also... More

Catching the fish is fun, celebrating with the chef and waiter and then having it cooked as you wish - a very entertaining and fun night!

We were really happy to have tried this dining experience. It was a lot of fun. We were lucky enough to catch a fish and were pleasantly surprised by the show when anybody catches a fish. A very nice time especially if you are a group

Very funny restaurant, because you can fishing inside the restaurant, but if the restaurant can improve more different fishes it will be better. Funny atmosphere, food was just average, friendly service with some staff, and acceptable price! For one time experience it is ok! I will not back for second time!

In Japan you'd not think there is no bad customer service, but our experience at this restaurant was the worst. We had reservations and got to restaurant early, we were waiting for friends and they seated us at a table way in the back of restaurant, when I asked if we could get a table closer to door so we... 『 Let's enjoy fishing 』

Fished by yourself is an exceptional taste.
Still eat fish fishermen landed on the ship!
It is a restaurant you can experience such presence!

If you catch the fish yourself, it's cheaper!?
We can fish for our own fish and eat it fresh at a discount price. We hope you will use this system to enjoy fishing and eating fresh, flavorful fish!
