We chose this restaurant on the basis of its good reviews. The food is decent rich Lyonnaise food. We assumed we could order a la carte and, as we suspected the food would be rich, we planned to share an entree so we would still have room for dessert. However, we were told in no uncertain terms that this was... More

I made a reservation via email prior to traveling to Tokyo. I found this restaurant through random search online. I am extremely pleased with my choice. This French restaurant locates in a small street near Iidabashi Station. The restaurant owner greeted us as soon as we arrived. The staff are welcoming and attentive. The food was very nicely presented and... More

This restaurant specialises in the cuisine of the Lyon area, which has an emphasis on meat, including items made from relatively unusual parts of animals (pig's ears and the like). In my opinion it is one of the best French restaurants in Tokyo, and it is reasonably priced, with a relatively informal brasserie-like atmosphere. On this occasion some delicious white... More

WE went for lunch and thought we were back in Old Lyon. Wonderful french food prepared with quality produce and cooked and presented with perfection. Wine list french and good value. We had a Santenay to accompany a lapin and a canard dish..perfect and amazing value. We paid less than half what we have been paying in Tokyo for not... More

An excellent French restaurant with attention to detail as is typical of Japanese people. Menu choices good and quality of ingredients excellent - seductively presented. Absolutely delicious food! The wine list is French focused, short but of high quality and good value. You may not know the labels, but perhaps that's why it is good value. Very sensibly put together.... More

We came here for our wedding anniversary after many days of local food we thought it would be a change. The restaurant is in the French quarter so after a wander around this unusual area full of old traditional houses we found this restaurant, it was full but they fitted us in anyway. The food was delicious, we had 2... More

We were recommended to try the LUGDUNUM restaurant by friends who had fallen across this restaurant. We found it quite easily from the directions (Lidabachi underground station) We were welcomed by Christophe the chef owner and chose the" Menu des canuts" accompanied with a red Santenay wine. The meal was delicious and the wine superb - all is prepared in... More

Had a very nice business dinner in Lugdunum. The food was very innovative and creative with very good taste. Worth of the one star. The amount of food was just perfect in the Lyonese traditional menu which has a nice number of dishes served. The wine recommendations from the staff were perfect with the food. What made also great influence... More

This small restaurant was an amazing find in Kagurazaka. It is very French, apart from the attentive Japanese waiters. We had a entree, main and dessert lunch formula and every single dish tried by our group was plated immaculately and tasted delicious.

Staying in Yotsuya / Iidabashi

Neighbourhood Profile
Yotsuya / Iidabashi
Yotsuya and Iidabashi are areas that developed around the outer moat of the Imperial palace. Nearby in Kagurazaka, there is an old red-light district with a photogenic feel evocative of the ambiance of old Tokyo. Narrow paths with stone paving remain to this day, and there are long-standing restaurants with geishas and quaint old cafes in townhouse buildings.
