Spotless interior - simple and elegant interior. Outstanding high quality food with numerous selections, all at a surprisingly reasonable price. The views are great. Service was outstanding and staff was helpful My wife and I had a wonderful dinner here on a stormy night in Tokyo - one we'll always fondly remember. Loaded with locals and no tourists - other... We stumbled across this place by chance. It is an amazing restaurant!!! the food is japanese fusion, I would say it would be the closest thing to what we would call 'Japanese' food in Australia. Agadashi tofu, sesame dressed avocado salads, fresh tuna sashimi. Yum. Great cocktails also! And the view is spectacular!! The restaurant fit out is very modern... More

One of the best view of Tokyo. Don't forget to book a table facing the windows. Food is delicious and well presented. Prices affordable comparing the average of shinjuku area. Excellent beer and interesting selection of wines. Take a look to the bellavista at 51 th floor once you are done with your meal.

Three of us went to mu-Mu Restaurant, Shinjuku, Tokyo for dinner today (14th April 2012). We were originally attracted to go in because it was one of the only restaurants on the 50th floor (could be the 51st) in Sumitomo building serving Japanese food that had a view of the Tokyo Tower. We were very happy we did as the... More

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
