The food was actually really good, but people there were smoking too much, and the place is a little bit dirty. But the food is fine. If u dont care about the smoking it's worth a try!

As a vegetarian, I was so happy to ask and get a vegetarian red curry. Nice and spicy! Combined with very sweet fried rice, it was a very nice meal. The morning glory was spicy (chili and garlic) as well! It is not the greatest Thai food bur for tokyo it's pretty great.

I'm a sucker for Thai cuisine and so had dinner at 'Ban Thai' one night when staying on business in Shinjuku. This restaurant is hard to find and would be easy to miss as the sign is not that prominent. The easiest way to find it is to go into Kubukicho under the big Red archway and then Ban Thai... More

Great taste but price is much too high. Small portions. Maybe the Japanese think Thai food is special. They are just what you may expect from a Thai restaurant so no reason for overpricing.

Unfortunately I cannot rate it with a ZERO!! It is catastrophic!! You arrive at the 3rd floor and you have a huge room with 100 people's eating next to each other, A LOT of noise and a dramatic service! Prices are quite high and the quality of the food is very poor!! Ordered a started, receive it after the main... More

Wanted some Thai and found this on TA and it is ranked #35 in Shinjuku, so we had to try it. Kinda tough to find, but we found it. Had to wait a short while as not too many people in front of us. They sat us down in the main area at a worn down heavy wood table that... More

While the food is based on authentic cuisine, it's adjusted to Japanese tastes. This is a great place for beginners to get a taste for Thai food. It draws a significant crowd at night.

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
