All you can eat- soup of the day, toast and a variety of topping spreads. Tea and coffee is included for LESS than a coffee at Starbucks. A simple but filling start to the day at backpackers prices. . I'll be back next week!

I've tried a few different things from here now and always enjoyed what I got. Highly recommend giving it a try if you are in the area. Maybe avoid the mega pasta though : P

The international dishes that Sakura Cafe offers are exceptional (I personally recommend the Spanish dish with Gambas!) You can also find some international beers or cocktails and all of that is affordable. Loved it!

We stayed in Sakura Hotel for 5 days and spent 2 breaksfasts and 1 dinner at the cafe. Choice of breakfast was the same (toast, coffee/tea and soup), but it's buffet at 330yen. It's good enough if you want to fill your stomach before heading out on a cold winter morning. Ambiance was okay, we're lucky it wasn't too crowded... More

I stayed in the Sakura hotel, so this was the obvious choice for an easy, quick breakfast before heading out. The food was good, the coffee very tasty and they had lots of tea!

Food is very good. Service is attentive and fast. Servings are adequate. Prices are competetive. Nice location too.

Neighbourhood Profile
Ikebukuro is an area of massive development. Several thousand tenants occupy two giant department stores and shopping malls, where all sorts of shopping and gourmet foods can be enjoyed. The 60-story building at the east entrance of the station, Sunshine City, is a landmark within Ikebukuro and features an aquarium, planetarium, theme park as well as an observation platform. The popular name for the western side of this area is "Otome Road" (Maiden Road) and there are many shops selling products related to anime with a female theme.
