Disappointed by service and food preparation. Ordered Paneer dosa, filling made of plain paneer and raw diced onions with a sprinkle of some masala. They should learn how to cook. Very very Bad!!!!

Stunning, subtle flavors. Great service, and good prices. I am so glad to have stumbled upon Andhra. One of the finest Indian food experiences I have had in my life!

This place was a major disappointment. After reading all the great reviews on TA, Japanese restaurant review sites and a dedicated curry blog which proclaimed this place to be the best in the Tokyo area, Andhra was a huge letdown. I’d read that the head chef had left, but I cannot confirm that. I’d had a bad feeling that this... More

Wow- we were two families who chanced upon this delight in the back streets of Ueno. Nine people? Sure! Lassi? Delicious! Unlimited rice/naan/chappati? Awesome. Terrific service too. Well priced. Highly recommend. If only we could get such true South Indian food in Australia....

Dinned with two cousins. The food is delicious especially the Roti Prata. Prawn and chicken curry very delicious that we almost ordered 1.5 portion for the three of us. Not to forget the Mango Lassi that is a must try here.

Very good food at very reasonable price 2000Y for Thali meal with as much rice and 2 pot refils as you want. Excellent tasty curries (I had veg option). Had great japanese food all week so was just nice change for 1 night alone in tokyo.

This is my third business trip to Tokyo in last five months and after 2-3 days, I crave for good veg Indian food. This time I decided to explore options and tried this small restaurant in bye-lanes of Tokyo. I ate south Indian meals (please see photos) and it was excellent. I don't get this quality south Indian food even... More

Andhra-Kitchen is the first authentic South Indian Andhra restaurant in Tokyo, Japan. Our recipes will focus on "health" and "taste" in apt balance and it is good to consume these spices regularly for effective "Detox". Visit us often to find a wide selection of delicious South Indian Andhra style cuisine.

Staying in Ueno, Asakusa

Neighbourhood Profile
Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa. Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit a variety of different museums and galleries. At Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at the end of the year, when many people go on shopping sprees. The town of Asakusa, developed around Sensoji temple, has many shops selling goods and clothing from old Japan, making it a great place for souvenir hunting. It's also known for various annual festivals, and the whole district gets involved with the huge Sanja Festival in May.
