This restaurant was a much needed break after our several hours hike to and from San Juan de Gaztelugatxe. We didn't realize this place was there until we ventured in. The pinxtos bar was a welcome site for a quick bite. Lots of a variety of seating available--indoor, outdoor, by the playground and on the grass. The views are amazing... More

Unless you consider every bar snack as pintxos, avoid this place. The so-called pintxos were the worst we ever tried. Bread was soggy, meat was chewy like bubblegum, some pintxos only contained bread and egg, other were bread and cheap cheese - it seem the "pintxos" were sitting there for a long time. Given that this place is right next... More

Large resto/bar on a cliff... The vistas are beautiful. The bar is full of pintxo's. I was expecting more fish (due to the location of the bar) .. Overall, a nice experience.

Great choice of different pintxos. The location has very nice surrounding, the view is beautiful. Bit hard to find a parking place, but it is worth it.

Very nice pintxos and drinks for a low price. Awesome views and lots of tables and space. Start of the hiking route to San Juan de Gaztelugatxe. Perfect for a refreshment after the way up the hill.

We enjoyed the excellent meal--lubina for myself and rape for my husband--which was especially welcome after our hike to and from San Juan Gaztelugatxe. The building itself, an old inn, was fascinating. On the first floor there is a display of antique fishing and textile tools--don't miss strolling through it while you wait or after your meal.

Food, interior and location of the gourmet restaurant (there is also some sort of a beergarden and a tourist restaurant) are very good. BUT there is a huge margin for improvement at the management level: Reservations by email are not answered. Worse, they are not even registered, i.e. on arrival nobody knew about our email booking (but obviously some of... More

A must visit place if you go to Bilbao. Have a break and go to the coast, direction to Bakio. Terrific views of the sea with San Juan de Gastelugatze and Izaro island. Everything in the menu is recommended, have a great time with friends & familiy in this old basque house (caserío) and enjoy the beautiful sights.
