Gelateria La Granita is exceptional. We used to visit when Tino (the owner) was located in Otranto but when we visited last year we were dismayed to discover that he had relocated to Porto Cesareo! The Granita was so good on our previous visits we...decided to book a couple of days in Porto Cesareo just to visit and taste it again. Having just left after a two day visit I can confirm that the granita is as good as ever with my favourites being Mandarin, Fig and Melon. If you want to try a real ingredients no syrup no additives granita or ice cream then this is a must. There are numerous flavours to chose from and I recommend the bergamot - it was amazing.

Don't even think of stopping at the waterside Gelaterias. Go here, it's the best. And to prove it, has been providing excellent ices since 1952. Well worth it.
