We visited for a Sunday lunch recently and was our first visit. Phoned 5/6 days before hand but restaurant booked so allocated a table in the main bar. The kids sausages and mash cooked fresh and was served quickly. The carvery was 'ok'. It was nothing to write home about. Maybe being one of the first customers of the day... More

This restaurant has had a chequered history, but has improved immensely over the last couple of years.I have eaten here a couple of times over the last month each time as part of a group and the food has been excellent and served by friendly and willing staff. Good traditional food presented in a very pleasing manner. Quantifies were not... More

Fancied a traditional pub lunch and was invited to the Bull. Really friendly staff and nice oldstyle atmosphere. Good variety of beers on tap. Menu is very different and varied, with wild boar sausages, cheese plates, paninis and a variety of other hot dishes. I had the classic fish and chips and it was delicious - amazing chips! Great place... More

It had been some time since I was in the Old Bull Inn, Royston. My wife and I were in Town and thought it would be an ideal place ofr lunch. First impression was that it was very quiet with less than a dozen people in the whole bar / bar food area. The menu hadn't changed much but the... More

We visited in a group of friends and were impressed with the level of service, the food was excellent and the value for money was good. I would recommend this for a visit for an evening meal any day of the week.

Really enjoyed the food here, I had the crayfish and scallop risotto and it was perfect! The main restaurant is lovely too! My favourite place to eat in Royston by far!

We have had a few meals here recently with family and friends and really enjoyed it! The food is really excellent and they always do a little something extra with birthday cakes if you take them in, putting them on a nice board and decorating it etc. It also has a nice relaxed atmosphere, you don't feel rushed to leave... Very good service both from the wait staff and at the bar. Well kept beer and a good selection on offer. The meals we had were cooked fresh and very tasty with decent sized portions both for adults and particularly for the children. Would say that the only let down was that the boards they serve the burgers on aren't... More
