After a warm stroll through the charming village admiring the beauty of Meteora, we sat down at this restaurant for our evening meal.
Fresh Greek salads, home made bread and delicious Greek dishes with a view on the impressive Meteora rocks. Good atmosphere and kind staff, highly recommended.

I'm a little surprised by all the stellar reviews. Perhaps we were spoiled, having just come from the Zagori region, where virtually every restaurant seems to grow or raise their own ingredients. The Greek salad we had here was average at best. The moussaka was good but not exceptional, and the pork chops were pretty tasty but, again, not "to die for". I did appreciate the complimentary little ice cream bars at the end, and the prices were quite reasonable.

This restaurant is hardly in the heart of Kastraki’s relatively small commercial district, but it is at one end of it and well worth finding. It was easy for us to find the taverna, passing by it before reaching our hotel a short distance away. Our host recommended the taverna and we were aware of the many good reviews, so off we went. Simply put, this was a delicious dinner — and what a value! Check out their menu prices on restaurantguru. The veranda is good in any weather, with side sheeting, fans and heaters available when needed. Add to that a friendly staff, and it was a just the sort of Greek taverna dinner you look for and remember fondly. Highly recommended.

In the very center of Kastraki, Bakaliarakia is a real traditional Greek Taverna. We ate Bakala (fried stockfish) as it is used at the eve of the national Greek Independence day. Excellent dolmades, appetizers and wine. Very good service and very reasonable prices. Not to be missed.

A little outside the main road but still very central (just behind the church).
This restaurant serves simple and very tasty greek food.
We have particularly loved the fried cod, a local version of the famous fish and chips.
The house wine is acceptable, a pity there are no more choices.
Good, effective and polite service.

We ate the best Greek typical meal ! We recommended strongly the meat, the fried zucchini in short all the meal of the card are delicious ! Moreover the owner are very kind, it was a pleasure, we went twice there :)

An unpretentious restaurant with partial views of the amazing rock scenery from the outdoor tables. Efficient service and plenty of amazingly tasty lamb chops, fries and salad . I went back next day for the saganaki and succulent souvlaki . Really excellent and honestly the best food I had in three weeks in Greece.

We went there and all the staff was unfriendly since the beginning and without any reasonable motivation.
At the end of the dinner, to all foreigners they haven’t brought any fruit or dessert. A pleasure which we saw in any other restaurant in Greece.

Great place and great food! Traditional cheese on stove and traditional sausages as traditional food. Souvlaki with fried potatoes, nice taste! Good price also, 10-15 euros/pers. for 1 dish, desert and drink.

Tons of vegetarian options, friendly staff, cozy atmosphere next to the fire, Greek music playing and huge glasses of wine. We came twice in two nights and didn’t eat the same thing twice and still had more veggie options left to try. Fresh and tasty and honest. Thank you so much!

We ate here the first night. The sausages were really really good. No music, so it is a quiet place. Stuff is friendly, although we did not have a bad experience regarding to customer service in Kastraki and in Greece so far. They are really nice people. :)

A simple terrace next to the church. The owner is a bit reserved. So we were a bit reluctant to go there. But it is definitely worth to enter and enjoy the delicious food as well as the good wine.

Everything was perfect and the view was amazing
The pork steak was superb and I would get it again
You can even see people paragliding off of the mountain next to us!!
We tried about 5 meals and they were all great
GET THE GREEK SALAD OR MELTED CHEESE ITS SO GOOD
Would recommend for dinner 100%

Very friendly staff, great location close to the local playground if you come with kids, lively terrace in a quiet spiot in the village off the main road. Very nice local food.

Seating is outside under cover. This is Greece so someone will always be smoking near you outside. The service was good, tables clean. Food was what we needed after a day of hiking around the monasteries.
