We stopped in Levin on our way from Wellington to New Plymouth. Pleasant town with plenty of shops and parking. Reminiscent of Keene, NH or a smaller Fort Collins, CO. Friendly cafe preparing fresh food on the premises. My wife had the steak sandwich with a generous portion of quality meat, accompanied with a fresh salad. I had creamy mushrooms... More

We invited a group of friends to join our family for an evening meal. No one was disappointed. The meals were excellent and we covered the menu. The staff were very obliging and combined to create a great occasion.

Although we met for a late lunch the cafe was still crowded. It was noisy and unless we shared larger tables with strangers, there wasn't a table available. We sat on a couch until a table became available. My Eggs Benedict was good, especially because it did not come with sauce out of a jar. My friend had a chicken... More

This is one of my regular brunch/lunch weekend places. Whether its counter food or off the blackboard, the food tastes good and looks appealing. The setting is comfortable NZ cafe style and the art (for sale) includes some really nice pieces.

Whispers to right in the middle of Levin Township and a great place to go to catch up with friends. They have a good selection of snacks and meals complemented by nice range of coffee and teas. Staff are very friendly and we always feel welcomed.

Description
We have recently eaten at Whispers Cafe in Levin. Having breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. Great meals, great variety, good amount of food and lovely friendly staff. This place seemed very popular at all times of the day over a 3 day period, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We had corn fritters with bacon and ciabatta toast for breakfast. Huge meal and very cheap we thought. And it was great to have homemade fritter. Not the mass produced frozen variety. In fact all food seemed to be be made on the premises. Highly recommended.
