We walked here from Trogon Lodge as we did not want a $24 lunch. We had sandwiches and drinks which were reasonably priced and the service was excellent.

Hi guys, The road was not comfortable. But what a reward. A beautiful location. We saw a quetzal and a trogon. Wow. And the food is excellent. Even a simple wrap, tasted delicious. I will come back. Highly recommandable. Regards schliekMore

Description
Cafe Kahawa is located in San Gerardo de Dota, at approximately 2 1/2 hours from San Jose, 09 kilometers off the main road, and on the road side in San Gerardo. The restaurant, opens for breakfast, lunch and afternoon coffee. Dinner might be arranged if reserved in advance. Regular schedule is from 8 am to 5:45 pm. The specialty at Cafe Kahawa is fresh trout, served in many different ways from appetizers, salads, pasta, and sandwiches. Try out our Smoked trout dip, it is really good! THere are also options for those who don't like trout, including chicken, and Costa Rican specialty of bean soup. We now accept credit card payments!
