I am just getting around to writing this review. I have eaten here twice and both time I thought it was very good. Prices a little high but that's OK with me if it's good. Nice setting close to the water. I would recommend .

The area was very busy the day we were there for lunch with a lot of walkers, non of them were eating in Linnane's but their bus was parked there. The place was very busy at 1.30pm & a lot of the tables were reserved. I found the lady who seemed to be in charge very sharp when we enquired... More

I dropped into Linnane's in the early afternoon of a cold, wet and windy January day, to be greeted by a roaring fire, a bright space, and a warm welcome. The seafood here is the very best - I had the seafood platter so I got to sample a wide variety, including clams, mussels, crab claws, prawns, smoked salmon and... More

Three of us had lunch in Linnanes. We had chowder, mussels, crab salad, baked crab and pan fried haddock. Every dish was delicious . Well done. Well worth the drive. We had a lovely walk afterwards along the Flaggy Shore nearby .

My friend and I stopped into this pub at the weekend for soup and brown bread. The brown bread was very nice, but the vegetable soup and chowder were of a poor quality. The vegetable soup was lukewarm and tasteless. My friend's chowder was poor quality and difficult to discern what fish was used as it seemed to have been... More

As a returning diner, we found our selection of Mussels for starters, crab claws and sea trout for mains mediocre. Didn't seem to be fresh, was over cooked and served tepid. Expected more based on the rating and past experience. As we like the location and the walks in the area we will try it again with a hope of... More
