Visited Coach and Horses with a colleague whilst away on business and this place is everything a country pub should be. Very warm and friendly environments with a real homely feel. The specials board was extensive and the food ordered was delivered quickly and to a very high standard. Very impressed and will be returning.

Went here on way back from hawk conservancy visit, took a chance as you do for dinner / tea. Well pleased with the food and service, my mate was beat by the chicken pie, that's a first, but all good bit of a locals pub but well worth a visit, and not far off the A34, will defiantly be back.... Went to this restaurant to be welcomed by the friendly staff. Had great seats in their snug and we were served an excellent meal of fish & chips and wild boar burger. Both were excellent cooked and presented beautifully. Thanks for a lovely evening.

We were staying up the road for work. By the time we were going for dinner it was quite late so rang ahead & asked if we could still eat. They were great, we arrived just after 9pm & had a great pub dinner. A lovely country pub which is obviously popular with locals who must be great at darts... More

If you're like me you have this minds-eye view of your perfect country pub serving home cooked food. Nothing too fancy, but done well and healthy portions. Locals in the bar, and a warm welcome in an old inn...... Well, I have to say, this place came about as close as you can to my vision of the ideal country... More

Found this place off the (A34) beaten track. Quick, friendly service Steak was very juicy and tasty would recommend. Only slight negative was that we went on a Friday and it was a little pricey. Monday to Thursday they do two certain meals for £16

Four of us shared starters of breaded mushrooms, chicken goujons and garlic bread all of it was nicely presented and good especially the garlic bread which was lovely. Mains of fishcakes with new pots and salad, cottage pie with veg, gammon ham egg &... More

Friendly locals with very good food. I had steak and kidney pudding with fresh veg and boiled potatoes and OH had chicken and mustard pie with veg and roast pots with gravy. Portions were big, food was piping hot, veg crunchy and fast service too.
