I went to The Grapes as a table of 5 for Sunday Lunch. There was a good variety of dishes on the menu. I ordered fish pie which was absolutely lovely, I couldn't fault it. The green beans with shallots and garlic on the side were so tasty. The others had roast beef dinners and steak and ale pie, everybody... More

Starter: Corned beef hash cake with an egg - substantial and quite nice. Meal 1: Steak and onion pie - Pie pastry appeared to be overcooked (on top at least), filling tasted "all right" but gravy (in the pie) was watery, Chips looked dry and were few in number. Meal 2: Venison with cabbage and potatoes - The venison was... More

Light but excellent lunch...very tasty mushrooms on toast and corned beef hash cake, served on proper white plates...not spread over a board or plonked on a slate or in a plant pot. Hurrah! Friendly, professional service. Yes, we will return.

This is a lovely pub in Croston and the afternoon tea is unbelievable for the price all though this pub is on the main road in Croston this doesn't spoil the enjoyment of the outside seating area

Visited at a lunch time with my mum and both chose fresh home cooked fish pies...They were both delicious and we both ate the bowls clean! Cosy surroundings and friendly attentive staff. Will call again when passing for another top up👍🍴

A group of nine friends had lunch at The Grapes last Wednesday, the food was excellent, the starters were so substantial they would almost have made a main meal for some of the ladies! Between us we tried the mixed grill, the 'pie of the day' (a hit with the men) and the risotto, all were nicely presented and served... More

Hi Thanks for visiting us. I was hoping nobody had seen that Chorley Guardian review ha ha! For readers that haven't read it, the reporters wife doesn't like anchovies and ordered a Caesar salad, then complained it tasted fishy! He also took a photo of his roast dinner after he had started eating it. Hardly fair! And although he enjoyed... More
