Had the loveliest afternoon tea here with friends. The service was great, food was amazing and so much to choose from. My friend is gluten free and she was certainly catered for. Over all great pub in a beautiful village with great food. Thank you!

Just been for lunch had chicken and leek pie made properly ,none of this pastry cooked and added after . Was delicious plenty of filling lovely chips friendly service will be going back .

The staff were excellent, both the young girl and the man, they were very attentive and experienced. The food was first class. I had the sausage and mash and my partner the venison pie both meals were pur quality. We will definitely be back.

Super Sunday roast, great Yorkshire puds, my friend had seared chicken with mash and veg, chicken was succulent and cooked to perfection. Rioja was to die for. Will definitely return.

here are 2 front rooms a middle bar room and a restaurant at the back all cater for food and restaurant has a more extensive menu

Description
Traditional pub, set in the picturesque village of Croston. Situated opposite the church, views of the River Yarrow. 2 side rooms off the main bar, one with an open fire which is lit regularly in the cold months. Main bar area with separate dinning area. Outside seating areas available with jumbrellas and lights. Large car park with easy access into the pub. Large boules pitch to rear of the pub. Our menu is a fresh homemade menu, with a choice of daily specials. Afternoon tea is available Monday - Saturday book in advance. Baby change facilities in ladies toilet.
