Very easy to find main route from Ilminster to Chard. Reasonable carpark at rear of pub. Very nice staff, homely feel. A little cramped but this is due to size of the pub. Food was very nice and all round very reasonably priced.

The starters were brought out before all of our table had returned from the bar, we had 3 courses in an hour! It was very rushed. The brie was overcooked, the turkey was sliced bought in with no cranberry sauce, the sprouts were cooked with bacon (we had 2 vegetarians),the carrots were hard , and the roulade was Swiss role!... We booked our table for a Saturday night which we thought might be busy, the pub its self was lovely and warm with the log burner gently crackling in the background. We popped in one evening for dinner and was pleasantly surprised. There was a great selection of foods both within the menu and also a super specials board! All our dinners were freshly cooked and delicious. We were made to feel very welcome by all the staff and of course the toasty fire too!

Friendly welcome. Popular place for dinner - make a reservation on the weekends. Good beers. Homemade choices. Steak and Ale pie is fabulous.
