We had a lovely lunch here in the garden. Friendly welcome and for our 2 little dogs too. Highly recommend. Look forward to a return visit next time we visit this area.

Greeted by the Landlord, friendly and informative. Especially when suggesting the best local ciders! Food was reasonably priced and well presented. Would recommend.

We stoppped here today for lunch on our way to see a friend in a neighbouring village. What lovely food we had. I had a Ham and whole grain mustard sandwich which was served with plenty of chips and a lovely side salad. My husband had smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwich again served with chips and salad. Both were... More

We have recently moved into the area. Having just taken a stroll around the grounds of Barrington court and worked up an appetite we decided to pop into what is now going to be our local inn. On entering it is nice and airy, straight away you feel the nice ambiance of the place. We chose to sit in the... More

Our third visit to The Boar and still no complaints. Wonderful friendly landlords, great choice of drinks, a menu that is difficult to choose from and food that is hard to beat. Although we only live down the road we're tempted to book an overnight just to see if the B&B offer matches the pub's very high standards!

We went for the special event meal - Skool Dinners and Disco, with my partner and daughter. Menu was spot on for the themed night - beef stew, chicken pie with mash and macaroni cheese for main course, and jam roly-poly with custard for dessert! Was a fab evening, with a surprise test when we arrived (which we completely failed... More

We stayed here as it is just down the road from our friends' house. The pub is very nice and the room we had was lovely. It looks newly decorated with everything spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast plentiful and tasty. Really good. We hope to come back 😀👍
