excellent location, impeccable technique. Useless to waste many words when you just had a good experience. the price is 285, useless to say is too high or too low, that doesn't depend on the restaurant but depends on your pockets and if you want to spend those money. We're not rich (at all!), yet we decided to go with some friends we were ready to spend what we've spent and we've enjoyed a great afternoon. We gave a wine budget to the somm and he has provided us with a good selection of bottles to accompany the meal. I wish I could do it more often, it was great indeed

It was good experience..so nice nd great weekend Excellent site. We have already booked fly tickets several times through this service and it is looking for the cheapest offers. So we flew to Europe. Also we use this site to book hotels, although the booking.com is not worse in this regard

Best meal ever! This was by far and away the best dinning experience we’ve ever had. We treated ourselves to the 15 course tasting menu paired with the wine and enjoyed 3.5 hours of the most beautiful food to grace a dinner plate. Staff were really friendly and Martins nephew even gave us a tour of the kitchen to see where this magic was made. An absolute must in San Sebastián if you like good food. Will be back again when we’re passing through next time. 👌

Of the three restaurants we dined at during our San Sebastian vacation (Akelarre and Arzak being the other two) this was by far the best. The tasting menu was fantastic from start to finish except for the pigeon dish (could be because we are not fond of pigeons) so would recommend seeing if they could substitute a different dish. The setting is great (same architect as Akelarre) and the service is impeccable and what you would expect from a three star Michelin restaurant. The sommelier did a perfect job of matching our wine to our dinner (did not do the wine matching menu and just ordered our own bottles). Told him our price range and he did a fantastic job finding us outstanding bottles. Highly recommended!

The food was nearly perfect. The service second to none, the flavour marvellous. A great experience. The disappointment was that my wife’s fish was over cooked, 2 minutes makes the difference between an almost perfect and perfect. I will return to this amazing restaurant because other than the fish everything was delicious and clever. Go if you can. Go if you want to spoil yourself or your wife or your partner or lover. The food here is beyond amazing. I had the feeling there was some one in the kitchen who knows me extremely well and cooks only for me. This cuisine is personal and full of love - I was blown away with every bite. Martin Berasategui teases out the platonic taste ideal of each ingredient, so it tastes like you always knew it should. There is something deeply sentimental, warm and familiar in his culinary art, which for me places him amongst the Olympians of culinary art in Europe today. The food is divine. I have one criticism though and that is that the service, which started out extremely attentive and nice, somehow deteriorated throughout the evening, so that we felt a bit abandoned at the end. I am not really sure what happened, but the waning attention and friendliness put a bit of a damper on otherwise incredible dining experience. Overall some of the best food this world has to offer, with a service that left us a bit disappointed and sad. I guess you can not have something this perfect without a reminder of earthly imperfection.

The restaurant, located in the pocket of San Sebastián, offered us absolute quality. The contemporary atmosphere is very pleasant, the tables are widely spaced and decorated in a sober but elegant way? The waiters and waitresses are very efficient and pleasant, and everyone speaks several languages, which makes understanding much easier in a country where it is often difficult to be understood (in San Sebastián, even the parking meters are only in Basque, which is not spoken nobody in the world). The wine selection is incredible and the prices quite reasonable, and the sommelier offers great advice. We chose the tasting menu, which took us from discovery to discovery, from traditional to contemporary. The execution is perfect, the flavor combinations surprising and delicious. From the beginning to the end of the meal, everything was exquisite, with an overall feeling of lightness. The chef visited all the tables to perfect the overall impression.

Went there with a group of friends to have the tasting menu, well it was speechless. Every dish was superb, warm bread, wine selection, excellent service, all perfect. No much to say, it's worth the cost to experience the culinary art of one of the best chef in the world.

Great experience. Went with my wife on a trip to San Sebastian. The journey is about 15 minutes from the centre, c.30 EUR in a taxi. On arrival we were instantly made welcome by the staff, who were as good as I have ever experienced. We speak a little Spanish but they happily conversed in English. I really liked that we were able to split the tasting menu and a la carte. This is rare and I wish more places did it. I enjoy tasting menus, my wife prefers a la carte and we had the wine tastings with both. The food was excellent, as expected, and the liquid gilda pinxto was a real example of how good inventive food can be whilst paying homage to the region. The wine tasting was also excellent. Starting with a port is a first, but an excellent pairing. Overall, a wonderful experience in a lovely setting. The staff definitely made you feel very welcome and the food very satiated! I would recommend to anyone in the area looking for a special meal. The only caveat being that it is not cheap, so go prepared, but you do get what you pay for and as a rare treat it is well worth it.

The most amazing meal of a trip to basque country. On the outskirts of San Sebastian, the restaurant has stunning light-filled dining rooms overlooking a verdant garden. The tasting menu was flawless - every dish looked and tasted stunning and the quantities were perfectly judged so one ended up pleasantly full but far from stuffed. Staff were highly professional and both charming and enthusiastic. The sommelier recommended a wine that perfectly matched our rather vague description and was very very good value. If in San Sebastian eat here if you can. The sister restaurant in Barcelona, Lasarte is almost, but not quite, as good.

One of the top five meals of my life!! I have been to a few three star Michelin restaurants and many well regarded and high end places--this was utterly fantastic. From the moment of arrival to the moment of departure, we experienced convivial and expert service and felt instantly comfortable and at home in what can be an intimidating environment. The cuisine is varied and "cheffy" without either being fussy or over the top. Among many culinary highlights, the appetizer foie gras/eel/apple and the deconstructed "Gilda" stood out early and the "Mushroom" and "Ham" was a fabulous dish. The bite of my bride's red mullet (part of her tasting menu) was the single best bite of fish in my life. I could go on and on but the short summer is that if you have the ability to go here, do not miss!!

If you are in the area of San Sebastian and like gastronomy, this restaurant is an absolute must. The food is exquisite, at the level of the best of the best 3 star restaurants. Moreover, the staff is extremely nice and very, very flexible regarding dietary requirements. They accepted to tailor the menu to specific needs in a very nice way. All dishes were absolutely incredible, beautiful, and new. The service was perfect, everyone being nice and helpful and making this experience absolutely incredible.

My wife and I had lunch here. I was extremely impressed with every aspect of the restaurant. We ordered from the a la carte menu with a bottle of red wine. The a la carte menu provides you with the same starters and bread as the tasting menu, plus your choice of 3 courses. The food was excellent and quite innovative. Some dishes were a total surprises and extremely clever. Service was excellent. The sommelier helped us select a great bottle of wine that paired well with our food. We ate at some great restaurants in Spain on this trip but this was my favorite.

I visited with my wife for dinner. We had the tasting menu which did not disappoint. Our particular highlights included the olive with a suprise inside, the liquid version of a gilda pintxos, the fish tartar, fake truffle, and the lamb. The one course we thought we might not enjoy from reading the menu was the oyster, as we don't usually like them, but this was prepared like no other oyster I've ever had and was delicious. We went for a single wine pairing to share, as we had read other reviews saying it was a lot of wine. They were right - 11 glasses! Ours was still served individually just half portions, and we still both left pleasantly tipsy. We noticed a few people on other tables with the full wine flight had left quite a lot in the glass. The wine was very well matched with the food. The chef himself came around during the night to great each of the tables individually. As it was my birthday I got an extra dessert and also a signed copy of Martin's cookbook which was a nice touch. We left very full and very happy. We had to ask for our final chocolates to be boxed up as we couldn't eat any more. Don't hesitate to book if you are visiting the area.
