ended up in poma as our selected restaurant was fully booked. decent food but a tad expensive and the waiters were grumpy. great location by the riverside. in retrospect i wish we had gone to the bar as the tapas selection looked amazing, especially the shellfish

A busy place with the freshest of seafood. Ordering a whole fish or shrimp by the kilo is a real treat, but a very expensive one. Luckily, there are plenty of delicious dishes on the menu that will not break the bank - like almejas a la marinera, rape con pan frito, brocheta de rape, acedillas fritas. You can also... More

We had lunch here while waiting to go on a tour of Donaanna national park. What fun to have a table overlooking the water. The restaurant is well-known for its fish dishes and it didn't fail.

We had lunch here. Service was terrible. The bread rolls were stale. The swordfish stew was dried out the corvina in garlic was just average. The salad was nothing to talk about, it included the core of the lettuce, four slices of tomato, two stalks of asparagus, two artichoke pieces I don't understand why the restaurant was full of locals

The food we had was excellent. We perhaps chose a bad time to go as restaurant was so quiet with just ourselves and one other family dining in the upper floor inside. I feel sure it would be a totally different experience if the place was busy. My monkfish stew was incredible. However, my husband's frito misto (mixed fried fish)... More

This place was recommended by our hotel (Hotel Alcoba) and it was a great call. We came for lunch and sat outside with views of the water and passersby. Our youngest son adores tortilla español, which was not on the menu. We asked anyway and were told "no" - fair enough. The waiter took our drinks order, then came back... More

We ate here twice during our stay in the area. For my money, this cannot be beat. We had essentially the same meal both lunches, a huge and tasty mixed salad and a phenomenal seafood arroz, which is like a soup. Even on a Saturday afternoon when they were slammed and full of locals, the seafood was cooked perfectly. Their... More

We have previously had some very good meals at La Poma . However, since our last visit a few years ago prices have skyrocketed. Langostinas are 80 euros a kilo so that works out at 5 euros per langostino which is poor value. The other fresh fish were at 45 euros a kilo which is much more expensive than in... More
