Travelling with 30 à Australians to visit the à Millau viaduct, we had arranged to stop in the Hotel de la Muse et du Rosier. What a find! The hotel is absolutely beautiful and is right on the banks of the Tarn river. We chose not to eat at the restaurant and had a picnic on the banks of the... More

The hotel is very beautiful in a very interesting position overlooking the Tarn and with an elegant and agreeable architecture. The meal was in average good with a very little choice of dishes but as we went for dinner also the following evening, we found exactly the same very limited choice. The service was also made as if we should... More

We dined here once during our stay in the area. The meal was well cooked and presented (the tuna starter especially delicious). However, though the setting is stunning we felt it lacked something in atmosphere...

Tried the restaurant on the recommendation of our camps restaurant manager. Tables are placed on a long decking that runs along the rear of the hotel. We went for the 30 euro menu. The wine selection was very good, with some very expensive bottles for sale. The service was prompt, but never rushed. The food was of a good standard... More

Our stay was rather disappointing, I'm afraid! We picked this hotel mainly relying on the photo's and the rather positive comments. Moreover the choice of 4* hotels is rather limited in the area. The setting and the view are spectacular indeed and definitely merit 5*, but the hotel itself is no more than 3*. Upon arrival we had to wait... More

I was told they catered for vegetarians but the main course was a joke,5 x 2€ sized dollops of puréed swede (one in each corner and one in the middle of the square plate) with a tiny carrot on top for €30 !!!!!!!

We stayed for a couple of nights in July, in a junior suite. Overall, for the price, an average experience: food was very good, but drink expensive, and the room okay - the setting rather than the internal space perhaps carries the day. Not sure our room warranted 'suite' status - as my partner observed, the hotel is designed with... More

Clean comfortable hotel with contemporary elegant design of building, decor and furniture. Excellent food. Very friendly and helpful staff. Views from the rooms and public spaces. A great base to walk in the Tarn Gorge.

We were lucky to stay in superb autumn weather. 22 minutes from Millau and the awesome viaduct. First impressions, however, were not good. On arrival at the front desk, the owner rushed from the rear office past us without a 'bonjour' or anything. Next we discovered the car park was full and we would have to leave our (new) car... The restaurant is the highlight of this hotel, with excellent food and good local wines at a reasonable price. We were surprised at the quality of the menu and the cooking and would come back here just for the food. Staff are very helpful and pleasant and the surrounding gorge is a must see, it is a beautiful area.
