A stunning revival in the age of Italian traditional cusine and restaurant was byword of quality, typical local products, expertise and customer care. The restaurant is inside Hotel Sassela. We went for the spa and than to dine. It is a really relaxing place. The quality and firing of meat dishes is very good and the typical Valtellina dishes are... More

This Michelin-rated restaurant is set in the small Hotel Sassella and is the pride of the owner Jim and his family. Fresh local trout, varieties of unique local pasta (like pizzocheri) and a lovely selection of Italian wines make for unforgettable meals. Their meats are delicious and perfectly prepared -- one of the best beef dishes I've had. Don't miss... More

I stayed in this Hotel for 3 nights due to a working meeting near Grosio and the Hotel restaurant (called Jim) was the best part of the accomodation. The staffs explain all the dishes to the clients and the atmosphere is warm and familiar. The quality of the food is above the line, with very good choise of local food:... More

Great Food and Great Service. Special Menu every day with traditional Valtelinese food or more classic meals. English/French/German speaking waiters always a plus!

This high-end joint earns it's reputation as a top-notch destination for serious foodies. We were 4 adults and one child. We had the steak tartar smoked in a bell-glass dish. The presentation, taste and aroma of this dish is not to be missed. We also had pasta con funghi, special beef and gnocchi dish, ravioli with quail eggs, spinach and... More

Beef was good. But they don't have photos so it's difficult to choose and don't make a mistake. Ask Juseppe, he knows.

The food is wonderful, the staff are very helpful, and its location in the heart of grosio is great. Be aware fresh mushrooms cost a small fortune and 2 mushrooms salads cost 40 euros which nearly gave a me heart burn. The said they were nice. there is even a very a nice spa.

My favourite dish was the Pizzoccheri but there is a good range of beautiful regional dishes. This restaurant is in the Hotel Sassella where I stayed and was excellent.

This a family restaurant with a tradition spanning 5 generations and the current generation is not letting their forebears down one little bit. I have not eaten at every restaurant in Italy but for me Restaurant Jim must be the BEST Restaurant in all of Italy. While waiting for the afternoon light to reveal the best of the Rupe Magna rock art, we had lunch in the Hotel Sassella at Ristorante Jim. I had the traditional Italian ham with melon and my wife had a fabulous Zuppa di Verdura. I often opt for "prosciutto melone", but this ham was from San Daniele which is my favorite.... More
