For many years with our family, we have spent our summer holidays near Albinia...right next to the campsites on the main road is the CAVALLUCCIO MARINO restaurant managed by the legendary Renato and his family.
We had dinner several evenings, and every evening we were able to taste and appreciate truly very good fish-based dishes.
Very welcoming place but above all kindness and attention towards the customer on the part of RENATO who will be able to welcome you, advise you and make you spend a pleasant evening in his restaurant.
I highly recommend booking well in advance as the restaurant is always full.

I have been going to this restaurant for years, spending my holidays in one of the campsites nearby, the fixed menu is historic and recommended to everyone because you always leave satisfied, we always replace the second course offered with fried food because every now and then there is a delicacy ...very kind staff and you really feel like a family, intimate setting and tables in the garden, fish, fresh wine and who can kill you? 28 euros for the complete menu, eat good and excellently cooked fish... in Milan there is we dream of it, a place like this... well done and see you next year!!!

Nowadays a place where you can eat good fish at this price is rarely found.

I return to this restaurant every time I'm in these parts, the pleasure of seeing customers satisfied and happy from the owner and his family is striking. Super quiet location, super convenient at the campsite exit of Aurelia with adjacent parking.
Simple and nice restaurant.

I have dined at this restaurant several times with my family. I've always had a great time. Being July, meals were served in a very well-kept garden. The service was commendable both for the availability and for the courtesy and friendliness of the owner. We returned to Cavalluccio Marino to try the Risotto with seafood as promised.
While waiting we repeated as last time I tasted Marinated Anchovies with chilli pepper...then the Risotto rich in prawns, baby octopus and squid.
Optimal!!!!!!

This year too we returned to the Maremma and had dinner at Cavalluccio Marino. We took the menu, three mousse starters, the stewed cuttlefish with potatoes that melt in your mouth, the octopus in a very good salad, and the abundant olive oil was also very good. Beautiful atmosphere in a room with vaulted ceiling. Giovanni, Sara and Renato run this place with great seriousness and professionalism. In summer you eat outside, in a huge gazebo outside the villa that houses the restaurant.

Not able or willing to speak English or willing to bring someone to the phone that is in order to answer a request to book a table. The positive reviews probably led to some arrogance.
