I ordered the Egg-Don, which was not too bad. Other dishes might have been better. I enjoyed the atmosphere there. It was a Japanese restaurant in the midst of Tibetan and Indian culture. So that was interesting.

No sure that I'd say LungTa serves 'authentic" or "delicious" Japanese food. The place is run by a Japanese lady who's been here since 1999 I think. There's also a Tibetan man, I'm not sure if they're a couple or just business partners. Anyway, while it's true that it's real Japanese food cooked by real Japanese (Japanese backpackers volunteer here... More

Once we found this restaurant, we were there for at least one meal a day for the duration of our trip. I went with the daily special every time, an enormous amount of food for 200 INR. Everything has been fantastic and FAST, and all of the staff have been kind. I tried something I'd never seen before, a grapefruit... More

So glad to find such awesom Japanese vegetarian food here in Dharamsala. Ordered the set meal of the day which came with sushi, miso soup, stewed potato and French beans. Also ordered the Kariage don that tasted so authentic. Would love to be back again to savor the rest of the dishes here!

Considering that you are in a hillstation, in INDIA, it would be a little absurd to expect fantastic authentic Japanese cuisine. But here you have it, cheap and superbly tasty - I went 4 times and it was always packed. I'd recommend the egg don to anyone, but all the food was great. And the little biscuits you can buy... This place has set menu as per days so you would not get sushi on all days but i think on tuesdays and saturday if i recall well. Its cheap and they are very strict about their timings of lunch and dinner. Lunch is served only upto 2.30pm and dinner starts early in evening up until 8.30pm only, in between... More

The menu features daily special. Sushi day is particularly popular. My favorite day is tempura day. The food is pretty good considering that the nearest place to buy Japanese ingredients is Delhi. The flavors are authentic. The only reason I can't give 5 stars, the rice is not authentic. And as any Japanese person will tell you, rice is SOOOO... More

This place is a great address. Every Tuesday and Friday they serve a combination of veg sushis , vegetables, miso soup (vegetarians beware the soup contains fish powder). It's excellent and the price is reasonable. Their udons are also great. I suggest you try their home made kombucha. I suggest you come not too late on those otherwise you might... More

Had been to Lung-Ta restaurant on 7th Oct. 2016. There were hardly any Indian families eating there. Most of the customers were foreigners. We got a taste of a different variety of food in a different environment. The lady who took our food order helped us in identifying the right dish. Visitors to Mcleodganj should definitely try this one if... More
