Ravioli, antipasti and a good steak - all excellent served by Guiseppe who speaks excellent English. Two course without wine was circa E120 for four and well worth it. The wine list is extensive with many wines I have never heard of. House wine is...good and reasonably priced (E10) and some if the recognisable wines (Barolo, amarone, Brunello etc) were not expensive, We had an amarone recommended by Guiseppe - sadly it had not been well cellared and was a long way past its best.More
Their only drawback was that in winter they‘re only open Thursday through Sunday. Over our stay in Scario we got to triy all their dishes, enjoyed every single one. Very good wine list
A gem of the gulf , in a unique place, Scario. The food is very well prepared with attention to details by the chef. The starters are outstanding in particular the cod fish and the grilled octopus. Also the primi are particular and super tasty....Prices are really reasonable. Definitely it worths a visit and for sure i will come back.More
the two owners worked abroad in Asia and in the Gulf before coming back home to open this wonderful restaurant in the beatiful village of Scario, Campania. They serve Sicilian food, which obviously differentiate them from the other local restaurant which offer local Campanian food....The quality is better than the one I experienced in Sicily last year at Easter time.More
The restaurant offers a friendly, casual atmosphere. The Sicilian dishes are revisited in the light of modern culinary trends. Refined combination of food and herbs/spices cooked in a light and healthy way. To be recommended marinated raw fish as appetizer and fish dishes especially mussel...soup. A good selection of wines, but rather expensive. A good experience to do when you want to treat you well, knowing you will pay for it.More
We had dinner twice at this restaurant, and both times were very satisfied with the food. We tried the mussels, different pastas and mixed fried seafood platter. I can only say that each of them were amazing and definitely worth the price! Especially the mussels...are a steal (I believe it was 7-8EUR for a large portion). The terrace is very cute and intimate, there are only 10 tables or so and you're seated right at the harbour. We opted not to have dessert here, but instead have an ice cream at the place right next to the little church. Would definitely recommend anyone to do the same! Make sure to reserve ahead, as they're very popular.More

A nice restaurant on Lungomare with competent and english speaking personel. Food with a touch of new cuisine/sicilian. Very good vines. Open off season - Thursday - Sunday.
We visited Scario recently and found this wonderful restaurant with tables overlooking the sea. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The surprise was very different dishes than we had had in Italy. They were Sicilian dishes that tasted so good. They even offered us...two liquors to taste. We liked them so much we wanted to buy a bottle but you can't! They are made by their mother for the restaurant. Don't miss this Jewel!More
Great food by Fabrizzo, a fantastic Chef and personal service from Guiseppi. This restaurant will be a great hit with the locals and tourists. When in Scario drop in for lunch or dinner. I bet you will love it.
4 of us went to dinner on the recommendation of our hotel and what a treat it was.I had the tuna steak and it was great , all four dishes we had were raved about and going back tomorrow night
Having had the menu patiently translated to us line by line by the charming waiter, we agonizingly had to choose which to order! Ending up with house red, fried mixed seafood, risotto with white truffle and tuna in balsamic reduction. It was all perfect, delicious,...couldn't fault a single thing. I've never had such gorgeously cooked tuna. It's also right on the pretty marina. Amazing!More
We tried La Tipiteca and were very positively surprised. The promise to come back was easily given and also kept. Besides the great location, the food and the service is outstanding. We got the tuna steak recomended and this was just delicious, but also the...Spada we had was one of the best we ever found. One of the owner's stay in Singapore obviously brought some new ideas (e.g. Soy sauce in local dishes) and what can I say, that's great. Absolutely recomended place.More
We went to Scario for one week in June 2013. We dropped into Tipiteca by chance the first night and came back every evening. The owner of Tipiteca got us fresh fish every time and gave excellent recommendations also for side orders and drinks. Food...and service was really great and we had a perfect time and a lot of fun there.More
Excellent local seafood at a beatiful location in central Scario, right by the harbour. Make sure you don't miss the seafood antipasti and the fantastic fresh swordfish.
